I'm usually impressed with the Premier Inn brand as it is consistent and the beds are always comfortable. On this occasion, the bed was the only really good thing: everything else was tired and not 100% clean. Criminally, there were no power sockets by the bed and these were only provided on the opposite wall. Come on guys, this is 2025! Bedside light on one side didn't work. The shower was difficult to control and not the thermostatic type. So I endured both scalding and cold water as the neighbouring rooms used theirs. The heater was rusty and the activating thermostat so noisy that it was impossible to sleep with. Left it off. Oh, and the bathroom fan was completely inadequate. The mirror never cleared. Generally, everything seemed tired (including the carpet). I'll still use the brand, but this one desperately needs a refurb.
