We kind of had a rough start at this hotel. When we arrived, the manager told us that we had won the hotel‘s lottery and were now upgraded to an all inclusive holiday over at their partner hotel which, supposedly, was better suited for young people, had a water park, a disco and was just overall better. The manager set up an agreement form regarding the compensations, however, she wrote down extremely vague conditions in quite broken english and did not give us a copy to keep although I specifically asked for it. I was very skeptical about the whole situation and hesitant to move to the other hotel, which the manager didn’t seem to like. While we were still discussing the topic, a man came and already put all our luggage into his car without even saying a word to us. At some point in the conversation, I mentioned that my dad taught me to be this careful, because he is a judge. Suddenly, the offer was gone because “we took to long“ and our suitcases were back out by the minute. We later found out that this offer is made pretty often since the hotel has occasional problems with overbooking, and that the other hotel has pretty bad reviews and seems to have a big issue with cockroaches (can’t really say anything about that, we weren’t there). Mind you, we were three young girls and it was our first time travelling alone, so this whole situation did not leave us feeling safe at all. Afterwards, we asked for access to the luggage room, which was denied, as it was full. The other room to store our luggage wasn‘t locked, so we just stayed in the hotel lobby for 3 and a half hours until we could check in. Same situation at check out. Our room was pretty nice, clean and very large. The furniture and the bathroom seemed a little bit dated, which we didn‘t mind at all, since we were on a budget trip anyways and picked the hotel because of its cheap price. The mattresses were pretty hard tho. We also had a very nice and large balcony. One thing you should keep on mind is that you have to pay extra for ac and the safe. The property itself was quite nice as well and mostly clean. The pool is not necessarily large, but definitely big enough for us. We were on half board, but I, as a picky eater, barely found anything to eat. I mostly had bread for breakfast and dinner. This is not a problem the average person will have here, as there is a decent choice, which according to my friends, tasted decent to good as well. As a family friendly hotel, I would have expected more “basic foods“ that are universally liked. I even asked if I could get plain spaghetti (they had spaghetti carbonara that day) or something similar without sauce, but unfortunately, they were not able to accommodate that. Keep in mind that no drinks are included whatsoever. The location is okay if you know what to expect. Analipsi is pretty small and there is not too much to see and do (I highly recommend the Areya Bar or the Palm Beach Club in Hersonnisos), the beach is about 500m away, but
