Hummus Hostel Hikkaduwa

We stopped here for kofta and enjoyed it very much. Bring your own drinks and enjoy the view overlooking the roadway in Hikkadewa. The spices were perfect and the portion size was generous. They do all the grilling on an outside bbq on the first floor.

Hummus hostel is a home away from home. It feels so comfortable with beautiful vibes and wonderful people working and staying here. The rooms are nice with AC, comfy beds, fresh bedsheets. The location is super central with shops and cafes around. But when you taste the food here, you won't go to any other restaurant. It's middle Eastern food, super delicious and just yummy. And the cherry on the cake is free yoga lessons every day! Amazing place, highly recommended!

Review: My recent stay at hummus larla villa at hikkadua was unfortunately far from satisfactory. The lack of essential amenities such as drinking water and running water in the bathroom left me utterly disappointed. when u call and ask they send water and food they wont send if u pay also still a big no as they want u to spend minimum 100 thousand Still without a complain we came and this people have guts to call us cheap travelers Adding to the inconvenience, the hotel's location, situated 7 km away from any restaurants or convenience stores, made it even more challenging to access basic necessities. To exacerbate matters, when we voiced our concerns about the absence of amenities and the inconvenient location, Actually they are fraud as they never mention where the villa is situated after taking the advance money he told us that we have to go 7 km away For your kind information hummus restaurant All travelers are just travelers and that’s your bread and butter First kindly repair your villa where snakes 🐍 are visiting very often and then call any travelers cheap Hurt with your words more then the service Will never recommend

Such a great place ! Nice people, great time, perfect location ! Food is amazing, from the Hummus to the breakfast Chakchouka 🤤❤️ Perfect place to start my Sri Lankan trip, for sure I will come back before leaving! Yoga in the morning, in-house surf teacher it's a plus, that's for sure

I originally planned to stay here for 4 nights, but ended up staying for 1. The team were happy to accommodate this change in booking, I would have covered 2 nights if required for notice period on cancelling nights. I booked it on the basis of lots of high praise reviews, but without a bad word said, I was slightly suspicious. I had a double room which was clean, but the shower wall was damp in the bedroom and the A/C did not function very well. I felt the atmosphere was also a bit lacking - its a very large building for a small amount of people. I left an honest and fair HostelWorld review after I left, and then received threatening messages to my instagram (see photo). This reported I didn't pay (I did) and that I would be reported to the police. My review (which was 7/10) was then removed from Hostelworld, leaving only glowing 10/10 reviews. The hostel was not a 5* experience for me, but was fine for 1 night. I'm glad I changed hostel, and I wouldn't return after the messages I revived.

I am Japanese. I was able to make some very good memories at Hikkaduwa. The hostel is clean and close to the beach and restaurants. I also liked the friendly staff. There is also a barber shop on site. I also got a haircut. Skills are high. thank you. I will stay this place again next time. Don't tell the Japanese people.
