Had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was also good. One of the highlights was the on-site restaurant – the food was delicious, fresh, and offered a great variety. The breakfast buffet in particular was a fantastic way to start the day. The overall vibe is great. Highly recommend.

Best pool spot in Sri Lanka! Walk straight onto the beach (you can see turtles if you’re lucky!) and the staff are all so lovely! The pool is cold which is really nice especially in such hot weather, you can get good value food and drinks and the hotel is decorated really nicely!

The cold pool is amazing !! very relaxing on a hot day ☺️ Love coming here at lunch time for the chips, burger's and the chocolate milkshakes and definitely for the cocktails !! The Staff are so welcoming and lovely also ! Such a pretty view of the sea from the sun beds and pool!

The only positive thing about this place is that it is situated on the beachfront (although it’s not safe to swim because of all the rocks and the beach further along is heavily polluted). The entrance to the hotel has no parking out the front and the hotel is old and dirty ,however the front of house staff are friendly and welcoming. Our room wasn’t ready so they wanted to leave our luggage unattended in the foyer which didn’t sit well with us and we asked for it to be put somewhere safer. Our room was small with little space to move and an even smaller bathroom had no amenities (shampoo etc.) barely any hot water and one small bar of soap for 3 to share. The outside toilet had no toilet paper and hotel signage threatened charges for food and beverages brought in from external sources. The food offerings for breakfast were very average, basic western style dishes which were just warm and the Sri Lankan foods on offer were nearly empty by the time we got there and they were not replenished. There was a resupply of fresh fruit though which was nice. If you want a beach to swim in, this is not the hotel for you. If you want comfort, this is not the hotel for you. My advice, head further west to Bentota and you’ll find both these things aplenty.

We stayed for 2 nights in rooms 210 and 212 from December 26 to 28, and it was a complete waste of money. Recycled Food in Buffet: The dinner buffet had the same items as the next day’s breakfast and dinner. It felt like leftover food was being reused across multiple meals, which is completely unacceptable. Uncleaned Mugs and Cups: The mugs and cups in the rooms were dirty and not properly cleaned, raising hygiene concerns. Dirty Pillows and Towels: Pillows and towels had stains, and even the replacements provided were visibly dirty, with patches and marks. Rusty and Smelly Bathroom: The bathroom was in terrible condition—rusty fixtures, dirty surfaces, and a strong unpleasant odor. It was impossible to use the bathroom comfortably. Unsealed Water Bottles: The water bottles provided were unsealed, looking like they were refilled, which is highly concerning from a hygiene perspective. Non-Functional Locker: The in-room locker was rusty and didn’t work at all, making it completely useless. AC Turned Off: The air conditioning was inexplicably turned off on the second day at the buffet area leaving the room uncomfortably warm. Poor Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi was only functional inside the room and did not work anywhere else in the hotel, which was highly inconvenient. TV Remote Not Working: The TV remote didn’t work, which added to the frustration during our stay. Unfair Extra Charges: We were charged extra for room service when we simply asked for replacements for the dirty towels and cups. This was not something we ordered, but a basic necessity due to their negligence. No Toothbrush or Toothpaste: We were surprised to learn that the hotel doesn't provide basic essentials like toothbrush and toothpaste. When we asked, they told us they generally don't provide them. This is highly unusual as most other hotels provide these essentials as a standard service. Despite paying Rs150,000+, the experience was far below what should be expected from any hotel. The lack of cleanliness, subpar food hygiene, and additional, unfair charges left us deeply disappointed. Not recommended at all.
