True to the photos - this is a magnificent property and our experience here was the ultimate finish to our 3 week visit of Sri Lanka. Only a 10 minute drive out of town yet the location is such that you feel a world away - completely surrounded by nature; the forest, the lake, the gardens, so many birds, giant bees, shy leaf monkeys (only one sighting!) we even spotted a huge lizard swimming past in the lake. The rooms are generous in size and perfectly appointed. While everything about the villa is just perfect, the standout for us was our host. Generous with his time and knowledge, discreet but available for any request or question. So many wonderful conversations covering a very broad range of topics! Panduka you made our stay so much more memorable - we thank you.

This beautiful boutique hotel is situated on a lake, and has the most magnificent view I have ever experienced in my travels. The staff is very friendly, attentive and always smiling. Food was amazing, rooms are spacious, and has a beautiful infinity pool! I highly recommend this property.

We came to spend 5 days, it was one of the most amazing experiences, I don't exaggerate. The personal super kind we were so pampered. The hotel is amazing, super clean, the food uff the best in the area, we didn't want to go anywhere everything was so perfect in the hotel. Fully recommended!!

Special location. Stylish Accommodation. We were luckily enough to stay in this unique property with amazing views across the lake. Each room has a lake view, pull back the curtains and be woken by the vista. Enjoy breakfast watching lake world go by. Nature comes to visit with lizards, monkeys and bats spotted. The place has been stylishly decorated with lovely big beds and large shower rooms. The owner and acclimation staff can not do enough to try to accommodate your needs and they arranged trips to cinnamon plantation, galle and a lake boat trip all at reasonable prices. Special place

We had an amazing stay… such a wonderful location and wonderful people. This place is absolutely stunning. If you are a nature lover, a luxury lover, a food lover… this is the right place. A very unique experience in the heart of the jungle with all comfort and luxury provided. We were there with our baby and she had a lot of fun playing in the splendid gardens and in the infinite swimming pool. The rooms are divine, each has a theme. Swimming pool, gardens, terraces, and a wonderful rooftop. In the day you’ll see monkeys, varans, cameleons, lizards, birds, eagles, squirrels… in the night, frogs, butterflies, bats… They can arrange a boat tour on the lake for you, it’s very safe and stunning, we even go with our little ones, driven by a local fisherman. And you will be able to walk amongst the cinnamon trees. Other tours are available: tea plantation, mask tour, visit of the temples around, turtle beach is 5 minutes from the property. Galle is also very close… The food is freshly cooked daily and it’s really delicious… rice and curry, local fish… you’ll be delighted! if you come to Sri Lanka just don’t miss this place.

A beacon of paradise on earth! Best luxury experience you can hope for in Sri Lanka. Each room offers a different feeling and we had a chance to try the premium "Birds" room and the "Boat" suite. Immersing into the life of the people living around us and their customs, excusing into their world with the boat tour or the visit of the beach's turtles, are some examples of the wonders this place allows to reach. The manager and team are the best ever to assist you into making your stay in Sri Lanka a moment you would never forget. Thanks again!

Our stay at 33 Lake Terrace was doubtless one of our most memorable hotel stays. The first thing that struck us was the hotel’s beautiful decor, thoughtfully designed to showcase local crafts and trades, from fishing to mask making. But it was the wonderful team who made our stay truly one to remember. From bat watching to fishing to delicious dinners catering to our preferences, nothing was too much trouble. We especially enjoyed a boat tour around the lake given by a local fisherman and one of the 33 Lake Terrace team. We stopped off at a cinnamon plantation and had our first taste of fresh cinnamon! The hotel is managed by the lovely Panduka, an ex-tour guide brimming with knowledge and an extremely interesting person to chat to. He looked after us very well indeed, sorting transfers and pre-flight covid tests for us, as well as waiting up for us to arrive at 2am. If you want to feel truly looked after and enjoy glorious lakeside views for a few days, look no further.
