"The hotel is on Hikkaduwa Beach, about 20 kilometers from the ancient city of Galle. The scenery is incomparable, the swimming pool is beautiful, the rooms on the second floor are almost facing the sea, and the first floor is facing the pool ... the gym equipment is a bit behind ... the breakfast is good, the local meals are mainly ... Dinner buffet at 2,000 rupees per person ... the staff are welcoming ... the surrounding facilities are convenient and the fishery is spectacular, a ten minute walk from the Hikkaduwa bus station train station ... it is very convenient to go to Galle and Colombo ... the most important thing is that the domestic uncles and aunts are very Less ... highly recommended!"

Stayed for a couple of nights, but extended to 5. How wonderful, quiet, basics, livelihood (feel like on the yard). There is your kitchen (truth for dop fee). Staff separate thank you! Let your business thrive!"

"This is the best place we stayed in during our Sri Lanka trip. The villa only has two guest rooms so it is so quiet and you are sharing the beautiful pool with only 2 other people at the most. The room is perfect, so luxurious, with views out over the lagoon. The food at the restaurant is divine. The villa is a lovely and leisurely hour walk up the beach or quick cheap tuk tuk ride to the main drag of Hikkaduwa. Highly recommend!!!! We will be back."

"The hotel, to put it mildly, is very tired, the elevator has not been working for a very long time, there is no cleaning in the room, you have to ask to change the towels, if you throw them on the floor this does not guarantee a replacement, they will pick you up, fold them and put them on the bed... During the season, breakfast is a buffet and they are not bad, but in the off-season the breakfasts are very meager... The coffee is simply disgusting, I have never encountered worse anywhere... But all the shortcomings of the hotel are offset by its location! The best beach, beautiful ocean! And you can simply close your eyes to all the shortcomings and enjoy your vacation! By the way, there are only 10 sun loungers in the hotel, keep in mind..."

"Hikkaduwa Saffron Hotel was the first hotel on our trip, so I took a lot of thoughts when choosing it. Those who like antique hotels, please come, the cabinet bed, Luohan bed desk, meet all your requirements for retro quality, full of ancient flavor. However, modern washing and air-conditioning facilities will not make you feel that life is inconvenient, and we chose the second floor room, which is super large and has a good view. When we wanted to change to a double bed, we added a single bed for free without saying anything, so we had a good rest.
The service of the hotel is very good, we go snorkeling after checking out, and we can go back to the hotel to take a shower.
The disadvantage is that the price is small and expensive."

"Invincible super perfect hotel, the most sincere hotel stayed in Sri Lanka itinerary is it! It should be about a year before the new opening. Environmental awareness (which is actually very important in Sri Lanka) is particularly touched, and the butler service is also great! The room will be equipped with a mobile phone and ipad to contact the butler, the butler is very enthusiastic but will not be overly disturbing! The food is delicious too! Full score! GGuest UserExcellent hotel, we have been to many places and have something to compare with. Breakfasts are great, you choose from the menu and it was included in our stay. Rooms with a beautiful view of the ocean, pool, spa with excellent massage (you need to book a day in advance). There is a Japanese restaurant on the roof with a gorgeous view. Live music from Wednesday to Sunday! We highly recommend this hotel. Friendly and attentive staff. Internet WiFi worked great. The beach is private, sun loungers and towels are provided by the hotel for free, there are waves like almost everywhere in Sri Lanka with small children it may not be very comfortable to swim.

Tamara Motels is a family-run establishment located on Galle Road in Hikkaduwa, just a short walk from the beach. The location is convenient—close to shops and restaurants.
I loved the motel's design. I was surprised when the owner told me he built it himself!
The room was clean and spacious, with modern amenities, a huge balcony, a nice bathroom, and a terrace overlooking the railway and the jungle. I slept really peacefully there. Even the sound of the train passing by was soothing.
The family running the inn is incredibly kind and helpful.

Service: The service is quite satisfactory. We booked a three-person package (including breakfast and dinner) for two adults and two children, and we had to pay an additional 60 dollars/2 nights
Facilities: The swimming pool is great, the beach is great, and now there are turtles coming to take pictures with you all day long. The beach is also suitable for snorkeling, and you can see many small fish swimming in the corals

Environment: ok
Finally, let’s talk about the buffet. The breakfast is good and has everything you need; it is recommended to eat dinner once, which is also very rich. If you stay for two nights, you can consider ordering dishes in another restaurant in the hotel, and the price is not expensive

AArran JamieI enjoyed my time at sea front and its proximity to the beach being a 1 minute walk. As I also enjoy walking, it was a 20 minute stroll to turtle beach and amenities. The room was clean with a morning breakfast of toast, jam, eggs and coffie being provided. The hosts were warmly welcoming and I’d stay here again if I was in Hikkaduwa.

RROMAN_MOROZOVThis hotel is conveniently located, practically next to the bus stop in both directions. The ocean is 100 meters away. But this is not a beach for swimming. To get to the sandy beach you need to walk about 500 meters.
The room is spacious. However, the furniture is only a bed, a chair and a table. The furniture is durable. The mattress is also good. There is a shower, a sink and a toilet. But there is nothing at all except toilet paper. At night I saw ants and a lizard in the shower room. All the rooms need repair.
The staff is friendly and helpful.

I'll start with the good: excellent location, opposite a supermarket, and nearby there are many shops and benches, a gorgeous view from the window of the ocean, decent breakfasts, a clean pool, the staff's willingness to help at any time, delicious dishes to order from the menu, well-groomed territory.
What I didn’t like: the rooms are already tired, they need updating, I lived in room 513. The pool is open until 19.00, which is not at all convenient, because after dinner you also want activity... but there is none)
