Peaceful - Private Hideaway - Huge Yard

Christmas Stay My family and I chose this property predominantly because of the emphasis on the large yard. Unfortunately, the property is not fenced completely which did not provide much privacy. The yard was riddled with large ant piles and broken wood from the fence that was there at some point but now was laying on the ground destroyed. The rear adjacent property seems to not be maintained as it is filled with junk and what looked to have been broken down cars. I understand this is not the host’s responsibility, however, full disclosure would have been appreciated. The area of the property was a safe area and close to stores and a mall. In regards to the house, it was not as clean as I would have liked. The house seems to be either a trailer or a prefab as walking around the house was very loud and it echoed throughout so once 1 person was awake, everyone was woken up. Floors were very dirty upon our arrival and the towels left were very worn and even stained with Clorox. On our second day, I received a phone call from the host to let me know that in a half hour an electrician was visiting the property to fix the dryer. I let the host know I was not comfortable with that as it was not mentioned. Within a half hour, the doorbell rang and it was the technician. I went ahead and let him in as he had made the drive and he was working on a holiday so I did not want to make his day more difficult as this was not his fault. Would not stay again but safe location.
