Note that a twin bed may have a large bed and a narrow sofa bed. Note that the hotel address is the name of the street that is displayed all day long. It is difficult for the driver to find it. Click on the map and you can see the hotel name, so you can find it. Be prepared to find that no matter where you go in the UK, breakfast will be almost the same and you won't like it very quickly.

Looks nothing like the picture. Litter across the car park and hedges and every window frame sun bleached. In need of an internal and external facelift. We booked a family room and got a generous sized 3 bed room. Perfect for the kids. Except the fold up bed placed beneath the curtains for our little one to just pull on? Seems a bit odd. After a little shuffle around, we found a configuration that worked. In doing so, found the corner of the room, behind the sofa bed, to be covered in black mold - same around the window frame. Culprit is likely the lack of ventilation as the window barely opened and the extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work. Air con control panel is just wall furniture as affects nothing. Bathroom looks like has had a recent refit with the new style tiling on the walls but the floor and bath fittings really showing their age. Carpet in the bedroom was grubby and unclean - as was under the bed. What concerned me most of all was the missing tag on the packet containing additional pillows (as they had been taken from the main bed to furnish the other 2 beds) was not tagged closed so no evidence that they were clean. When taken down to reception and mentioned all the issues - told they had no further family rooms, the maintenance person would look at the extractor fan and that they don’t tag the pillow cases any more (having stayed in 2 Premier Inns in the last 2 weeks, I know this not to be true!). However, it was late and I was beyond arguing. Suffice to say, we made do and left early the next morning.

My partner and I spent a weekend towards the end of May at the hotel, which is pleasantly situated by the Ashby Canal, yet is otherwise is not in the most attractive of locations. The accommodation (room 101) was generally up to Premier Inn's better standard except for only a single bath and hand towel being provided and necessitating a request for extra towels. Also, three wall lights didn't work and as well as the towels, we had to obtain milk as none had been provided in the room. My two-star rating mainly relates, though, to the adjacent Brewers Fayre restaurant we were somewhat obliged to use for breakfast and evening meals. It wasn't very good. For instance, my partner elected to have the 'continental breakfast'. It really doesn't live up to its name, with 'factory' sliced bread, soggy croissants and subpar coffee from a machine. The cooked breakfast I had was more acceptable, except for the aforementioned bread and coffee. On our departure, we skipped the Brewers Fayre breakfast and took an early break at a motorway service point instead. The food at our evening meals left much to be desired, except on an evening when we had steaks. One evening, we dined early, which coincided with a significant number of families using the restaurant. We then discovered the restaurant has a children's play area , or more realistically, a licenced crèche. The noise from the area was hardly conducive to a relaxing evening meal. And finally, both at one breakfast time and an evening meal, we were informed the place was almost fully booked and were given no choice were to sit, only to subsequently find many (preferable) tables were empty throughout our meal. We vowed we wouldn't let that happen a third time, but the vow is academic: we won't be going back again. Indeed, we need to return to the same area of Leicestershire late August but have cancelled our relevant booking with Hinckley Premier Inn.

Booked a twin room for me and my son. Arrived at our expected time which was late in the evening. Not a twin room. Not in the mood to complain as later at night but then found out only one set of towels. Really disappointed. I’d class this as basic accommodation but definitely not basic pricing. Will not be back. Did complain but nothing back. Definitely will not be using any Premier Inn going forward. Had a lovely stay the next week at the Holiday Inn Express though.

Just a decent comfortable hotel with friendly staff and good value for money. Free parking, lovely marina on the doorstep and local shop within walking distance. Would stay again if I am ever over that neck of the woods, liked it that much I stayed a 2nd night.

Terrible sleep screaming in the corridor all night and didn’t even get a refund! Complained in the morning nothing! I had to literally go for a drive at 2am just so I could get some rest! I was not happy at all! Never had a bad experience with premier inn before until now

The receptionist at the hotel was really helpful & went to a lot of trouble to make sure the room I requested was available. The room could have done with refurbishment, but the bed was really comfortable. Easily accessible from the motorway

We had an amazing welcome from Steven at reception, this was very much needed as my family and I are ill. He was very welcoming, helpful and pleasant. The room was very clean, nothing to complain about. Would recommend staying here. Also, plenty of parking
