The Grosvenor Arms

This hotel has absolutely nailed great customer service. From the Check In, food in the restuarant the service was first rate. The staffs very positive attitude and professional behaviour are what differetiates this hotel from the others. The food was lovel and plentiful, the bar and restuarant had a fantastic atmosphere and I was pleseantly surprised to find it so busy on a Wednesday night. The room was lovely, with a large assortment of teas and coffees. The milk flask and cookies was a really nice touch. The breakfast selection was good and the lady on breakfast duties was very attentive. If I was to make a minor, petty and pathetic groan, my egg on my shakshuka was not runny, but the taste of the food was really nice. The next time I come I will ask the chef for his shakshuka and sourdough bread recipe

This accommodation was a welcome surprise, with a large and well furnished room. The design was excellent with a warm, homely feel throughout and some local touches. Service was attentive and friendly. The room did get quite warm in the evening and opening the window let in noise from the courtyard of the establishment, which played music quite loudly through until closing. Cleanliness was good but some areas needed more focus, like the kettle.
