Premier Inn Catterick Garrison

Very dirty. You can not open the windows, only usi g the air con. However the filter for the air con is so dirty and dusty you won't want it on. When you mention it to staff they are really not bothered. In the limited bar the tables are so sticky that we had to put napkins down.

Amazing friendly helpful staff! We arrived late and were offered refreshments from the reception it. Nothing was too much trouble from house keeping, to reception and bar/waiting staff. Nice touch Easter eggs on our beds too! Thank you so much

Warm welcome received. Free parking - just let reception know your car reg. We enjoyed dinner at the Hungry Horse pub next door (but not adjoining) and we were able to easily charge our EV at either Tesco or McDonalds within a short walking distance. Only disappointing factors were the cleanliness of the room - the previous person’s half eaten biscuits on the windowsill and stained red/orange on the bedsheets. The restaurant for breakfast was in desperate need of a re-furb: paint peeling off the walls, half of the displays missing etc. That said the staff were very attentive and the choice of breakfast options were good.

Location is excellent. Rooms are quite nice. I like the desk for working. The meal deals are good. For these reasons I will be returning. 3 star review (averag) is due to the following - The bar and restaurant has lost a lot of atmosphere since it was closed to non hotel guests . It does not have the buzz and cheerful feel it used to have a year ago which is sad. Customer service is mixed. Some staff are very welcoming (I note especially Louise) enthusiastic and have a culture of hospitality. My impression is this is based on their personality and does not reflect a customer service or hospitality culture on behalf of Premier Inn and or this particular hotel. At one time a manager made me wait standing for a few minutes because she said she had administrative till duties to do first. This felt odd and I felt lonely and powerless. I also disliked the policy that customers must ask for their rooms to be cleaned. This puts the burden on the customer and often does not work as there is no one at reception. I asked one day and it didn’t happen. I got back to a room I expected to have been freshened up and felt disappointed and a little upset.

Staff very friendly can't remember names, when we checked in Saturday 1st March so ladies on the desk were lovely, same ladies in restaurant at night all excellent and that's good for us to say as we are fussy 😉, room was lovely and clean and very quiet will ask for the room again when we vist. Thanks ladies 🙂

We stayed at the Premier Inn as we had a family wedding not far away. We extremely enjoyed our experience and Jamie-Leigh was such a great member of staff. Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you so much.
