Hot spring Hotels in Hitoyoshi

I stayed for the first time after being renewed. I was surprised that it was very clean. The entrance from the entrance is artistic and delicate, and I feel that the approach to the front desk is a hotel that protects a very venerable tradition. The front desk was great, and after checking out, I also kept my luggage for Hitoyoshi sightseeing. I was able to spend a really pleasant time with a smile and respond to the end. The room was spacious and very clean, and it even had an open-air bath, making it the best stay. Amenities and a nice basket bag were provided to take to the large public bath. The refrigerator in the room also had two complimentary bottles of premium beer and two bottles of dekopon juice. We were given a welcome drink in the lobby at reception, while listening to an explanation of the hotel and being shown to our room. On the first floor, various famous and aged shochu makers from Hitoyoshi were beautifully displayed, and although it was only available for a limited time, we were able to sample shochu, which I think is great for shochu lovers. The hotel had a calm atmosphere, the flowers were beautiful, and there were no noisy guests, so we were able to spend our time relaxing. This is an inn that I would definitely like to use again.

The hotel decoration for Christmas was superb & beautiful. Initially when we checked in, the passage way at level 2 had an unpleasant musty smell but a few hours later the smell was gone. I think the hotel should look into improving the ventilation & add some aromatic scent. The breakfast spread for 1320 yen was excellent. There were Japanese as well as Western food choices.

The staff were friendly and I felt good staying at a cultural property class accommodation.

The hotel is located in a good location. It is a 5-minute walk from JR Hitoyoshi Station and Aoi Aso Shrine is across the road. It takes more than ten minutes to walk to Kamimura Eel House. The hotel is a building from the Showa era and is a national tangible cultural property, so it is inevitable that the facilities are slightly old. There is an indoor hot spring in the hotel, which is very convenient. The proprietress speaks English, but the staff is limited in English. After staying for two nights, there were more guests on the first night and arranged a room on the first floor. The next morning the proprietress offered to change to a room with a better view on the second floor, and she could see the side In the Kuma River, you can hear the sound of the river at night. On the day of leaving the shop, the proprietress drove to the JR station. Although the hotel’s facilities are slightly outdated and the wooden house has poor sound insulation, it makes people feel the caring Japanese service.

Location isn’t convenient if you aren’t driving and it is a distance away from the main area. Service is great. The room is comfortable and clean.
