While the hotel offers a range of appealing amenities, including a heated swimming pool, our recent three-night stay was marred by cleanliness issues within our room. Despite reporting stained bedsheets to the reception on the second night, the problem remained unresolved until the afternoon of the day. Even then, the room attendant's attempt to rectify the situation was incomplete, as a stained linen was inadvertently left behind. While the hotel's facilities and standard amenities were comparable to other accommodations, the cleanliness shortcomings significantly impacted our overall experience. We hope that future guests will not encounter similar issues and that the hotel will take steps to address and prevent such occurrences in the future.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Location is excellent in city centre with plenty of amenities around the hotel. Room is clean, spacious and installed with AC that comes with heater function to warm the room. The front-office staffs are very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Tin and Antonia who went the extra mile to solve my car park issue. Highly recommended and will return for my next visit to Hobart.

This is the one of the few hotel in Hobart that have triple room. quite a distance (900m) to the regular tour pickup place and the city's main Salamaca Sunday Market. Still within 500M radius, you can easily get food and supplies but bear in mind that shops close early, 6-7pm. After that you have search around the city for a few eateries that still open. So buy any food like bakery and water to store in your room. Otherwise, it is a very good hotel, off the noisy streets. But the HOP-ON-HOP-OFF day pass to visit the city's attractions. Go on trips outside Hobart like Richmond and Mt Willington

Do not stay at this hotel. The walls are paper thin, so you hear EVERYTHING—yes, EVERYTHING, if you know what I mean. The whole setup is bizarre (see photo). Who thought it was a good idea to cram the sink so close to the toilet that your elbow brushes it? Who looked at that and thought, ”Yeah, that’s totally normal and not awkward at all”? The carpet feels soooo dirty, and it’s ridiculous they don’t provide slippers. Actually, they do—but only if you’re willing to pay $6! Oh, and add another $5 for service fee! On top of that, when I asked about why the water in the shower was lukewarm, and the response I got was that it’s because the hotel was at full capacity. How exactly is that my problem?! The receptionist told me to run the water for 10 minutes to ”fix” it… 10 minutes? Really? What happened to being eco-friendly? Honestly, save your money and book somewhere else. It’s incredibly noisy, and you won’t get a peaceful night's sleep here. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The only redeeming qualities are the fitness center, location and the helpful and very nice staff.

Family vacation, well located in the CBD. Close to shops, restaurants and the harbour and battery point. Parking is rubbish. Valet parking available, but is relatively expensive and takes them 30min, and more during rush hours, to retrieve the car from nearby parking station.

The hotel is located in front of the harbour , The view from the room window is beautiful magnificent both in the morning and at night. Best way to take walk around the harbour , many cafes and restaurants are located there. The hotel is decorated in a gorgeous and exquisite style, so much enjoy to sit and relax in the drinking bar area. Of course the service is excellent and very helpful for every thing that you asked. Very happy with my stay at Movenpick hobart from 18-21/01/25 (Sat to Tue) for AU$606 - the rate (20% off for diamond tier) is even better than their end of year sale via official website as an ACCOR member (15% off) Since other's reviews of classic rooms seem depressing as there is no view at all.....thus I booked a superior room with city view. However being allocated to room 403 on the 4/F .....instead of full length windows as per promotional pics.....my window is relatively less impressive. Also there is a high pitch wheezing sound from the corridor......but the sound has gone once we open our door..... hopefully I can have a better room above 5/F next time. Chocolate hours and the day bed in the room are something that we liked most, not much interaction with staff so hard on their hospitality....but on the day of check in around 3pm, a cleaning staff just entered and shocked to see us inside. She thought the room needs to be clean hopefully not making her scared

With a history of more than 200 years, the hotel is a blend of old and new. The newly opened hotel was rated as one of the top 50. Marriott, Near the harbor, it is very convenient to travel. The old park next to it and the market every Saturday are worth visiting. The breakfast is very rich, especially the cherries and strawberries. Tasmanian food is the best because the food is additive-free and not exported. Cherries are only in season for one month. I stayed for 5 days and the coffee art was excellent every day. There are many Asian employees and no communication problems.

The room is big, the hotel service is very considerate, they will recommend places to visit in Hobart, and there is also a map of Hobart. The front desk will deliver the takeaway to the room, and you can order lamington ice cream cake from the room service, which is super delicious. You can also eat van diemens Icecream in the hotel. The breakfast voucher includes a buffet cold meal and freshly made hot food, and the chilli scrumbled egg is delicious. You will definitely not make a mistake if you come to Hobart to stay here 😊
