The team at Shiduli was amazing to work with! They were so accommodating and made our experience the most amazing possible. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, the safari guides were so easy to talk to and provided respectful morning wake ups. They also ensured that we got the best safari experience possible, going out of their way to ensure we say the Big 5!!!

We visited Shiduli as part of an organised tour for three nights. All staff gave exceptional service. Our game drive guide German and tracker Mosco were brilliant!

As part of the Karongwe Private Reserve, Shiduli Lodge offers an abundance of tastefully decorated common areas to lounge around in. The staff are dedicated, knowledgeable and leave nothing for wanting - constantly feeding us beautiful spread of various foods including traditional cuisine. Laundry service were fast and efficient and easy to follow. And the day we left, they provided us with a large packed breakfast for the road. The Safari game drives were fantastic and our guide Colin and his tracker Michael were friendly and knowledgeable and able to show us some magical animals. While air conditioning was welcomed by us in this heat, we found the rooms a little claustrophobic and small and dark. Perhaps because the twin beds might have crowded the room. This didn’t take away from our overall enjoyment and experience of the place. We will be recommending this lodge to friends and family.

Hotel with very good structure, but old, which urgently needs renovation. The staff are very friendly, available and attentive. The food is satisfying, but could be more fate and diverse. The games, however, are unbeatable, with prepared teams that interact very well with guests. They occur twice a day. Our hosts, Eddie and Lucky, are simply the best. On the second day, we were able to see the big five and many other animals. The property is spacious and well structured. We liked it very much.

The Shiduli Lodge was a great place to experience the magic of safari. You can experience the big 5 and much more. Staff were excellent with our guide and tracker Charlie and Peter especially wonderful. Great family holiday

Besides being fabulous in every other way - game drives, pool, gorgeous common areas, a stunning boma, etc. - Shiduli stood out to us for being the best place we have ever been in South Africa for special diet catering. My daughter has celiac disease and the gluten-free options were outstanding. Gluten-free pancakes, bread, puddings, pasta, and each dish on the buffet was clearly marked. Vegan and lactose-free also catered for. They even made us an amazing packed breakfast (one vegan, one gluten-free) for our early departure on the last day. Huge thank you to the chef, as well as to all the other exceptional staff.

This was my first trip to Africa and introduction to safari’s. I highly recommend The Shiduli Private Game reserve. It exceeded my expectations. The lodge was wonderful and the safari trips with guides Happy and Patrick made this a very memorable first trip.

The Safari is amazing. The hotel is faraway from the airport. There are many options much closer. The food is really limited, no international variety. The rooms are simple and clean. But should have shower in all of them.
