Hoffell Hotels with Wi-Fi

The bacon for breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the farm mutton covered with mashed potatoes was good. Ice cream can be tried, and the front desk lady we met was very Nice. It is about half an hour's drive from Ice Lake, but there is no gas station on the road to Ice Lake. It is necessary to fill the gas station in the opposite direction and then come to stay. It saves time. We saw the aurora here, the front desk lady said, you are very lucky, but we can see 🥹 basically every week here. Personally feel that this kind of farm accommodation is really cost-effective in Iceland, eat well and charge relatively low. We stayed in a double breakfast twin bed of about 900.

The hotel is very clean and quite modern-looking. The room and bathroom are spacious. The coat rack at the room entrance was very useful. The surrounding area is quiet and dark, great for looking at stars and aurora. The breakfast spread is great - bread, cream cheese, cold cuts, cheese, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, juices, milk, yogurt. The best are the staff, Natalia and Simona were so friendly and helpful. The central heating wasn’t working well in our room, so they gave us a small portable heater. The WiFi went out one night. The bathroom shower design is not great, the water runs into the rest of the bathroom. The Ikea hooks in the bathroom are not the best at keeping towels and clothes up. Overall, loved this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again.

As Aurora chaser, we can observe from inside the room and keep warm while waiting, of course the best angle is still outside the apartment. Normal sedan car can reach the place despite the road has lots of holes. One of the shared bathroom is using infrared sensor light which is annoying because inside the shower area, the sensor could not detect my presence, hence it always gets dark in the middle of shower and I have to wave my hand outside the curtain. Nevertheless the bathroom has awesome scenery. Kitchen are clean when we arrived, but the tools are abit wear off, they are usable though.
