Villas Caracol

We absolutely loved every second of our 4-nights stay. This was the best hotel we stayed at so far during all of our travels. We got welcomed with a delicious welcome drink and then got guided to our room with pool view. We had a little seating area in front of our room, which we really liked. Our room was huge and nicely decorated. Everything was clean and well looked after. Every evening we received a small treat from the kitchen, which was always delicious. The beach was right in front of the hotel and there were lots of sunbeds exclusively reserved for us hotel guests. Also the pool area was very nice and spacious. To get to the village we used taxis (150 pesos per drive) or bikes that we rented in the village. It took us around 5 (taxi) to 10 (bike) minutes to get to the city centre. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delicious and offered a big selection of different kinds of food. All of the staff members were amazing and super friendly. We always felt welcome and well looked after. When watching the sunset from the beach we even got a free drink from the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Holbox. Thank you to the full team, you are amazing! We will definitely come back, when we're on the island again.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! We have stayed at quite a few different properties on Holbox over the last 10 years and Villas Caracol is by far our favorite. Hits just the right note of design, low key luxury, cleanliness and service at the right price point.

We had a fabulous stay at Villas Caracol. Everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful. Franco, Enrique and all of the staff at the restaurant were amazing and food is delicious. Rooms were super clean and the beds firm and comfy. We can't wait to come back!

Just stayed for five days at villa caracoal. We had arranged with the hotel for a transfer from cancun airport, this took us all the way to the ferry, he gave us our tickets and we were picked up on the other side by a taxi to take us to the hotel. Would highly recommend doing this! We were greeted by Daniella on the front desk who was very helpful and spoke good English. We stayed in a junior suite which had a pool/ sea view. The room was huge and very clean. A very large bed with the most comfortable pillows and sheets. Rooms were quiet, you couldn’t hear guests in other rooms. The hotel itself has a restaurant attached which had some of the best food we ate on the entire island. Big shout out to Berto, Franco and Angel for looking after us and keeping our drinks flowing. Included in our room price was breakfast, a large menu with different sweet or savoury breakfast choices. I tried something different every day and they were all delicious. The lunch and dinner menu was also extensive, everything was very fresh and tasty. Definitely one of the best restaurants on the island. You can easily call a cab from the hotel into town, they are a set price. We walked it on a few occasions stopping at bars on the way but it is quite far and in the heat it was more comfortable in a taxi which would take less than 10mins. The stretch of beach outside the villas is the best down the whole island. The sand was powder white and they work hard to keep the seaweed away as much as possible compared to further down the beach. There were plenty of sun loungers in or out of the sun on the beach, and around the pool. We took some early morning walks to watch the sunrise, and from the stretch of beach outside the hotel we got to see the perfect sunsets, including a complimentary sunset cocktail every day. Use mosquito spray for sure we had a few bites but repellant worked when used. We didn’t do any day trips as we were out of season for the whale sharks and flamingos which was a shame but we definitely made the most of relaxing. 10/10 stay, absolutely no complaints, wish we could have stayed longer. Amazing experience! Loved our stay, we were a family of nine so we had 4 rooms and we all have nothing but great things to say about every single detail. The service is impeccable, our room was very comfortable and spotless housekeeping did an amazing job each and every time. Breakfast was delicious every time and all the servers and waiters made us feel like family. I would highly highly recommend this place to everyone. I will definitely stay here again next time I go back to Holbox. Beach is steps away and I have zero complaints of any kind about anything.

WOW! This is quite simply the best hotel we've ever stayed at. We were fortunate enough to get a free upgrade after we let the property know we were celebrating our recent engagement and the room was incredible, enormous space, huge comfortable bed, giant balcony with whirlpool bath, plus welcome gifts and a sweet treat left in our room every night. The beach club is fantastic, never a rush on or lack of sunbeds, the staff are incredibly attentive and go above and beyond in catering to whatever wants or needs you may have. The pool is wonderful and a great place to cool off in the afternoon heat, the swim up bar is fantastic and the cocktails are incredible, and fairly priced relative to the rest of the island. The breakfast menu is extensive and delicious, and we also ate at the restaurant on our final night which was the best meal we had on the island. We also ended up opting to pay for a transfer back to Cancun airport through the hotel, which was a seamless and calm experience compared to sorting taxis/ferry/ADO ourselves. Huge thanks to all the staff for honestly making this the trip of a lifetime for us, we'll certainly be coming back!
