Cold Springs is one of those hotels that was built to a high finish, and using materials that offer opportunity to maintain spotless clean ambience. The exception is the shower! I can see how in its time the multi jet shower would wow, but age and clogged nozzles has jets in all directions. They either need rigorous maintenance, or replace with simple mixers. The wow factor is gone. Food: 100/100: excellent food, heavenly cup of tea. Service: lovely, courteous and pleasant attendants. Ambience: probably as good as one could get in Homa Bay. Restaurant: the restaurant on the rooftpp offers a panaromic view of Nam Lolwe. It is EPIC.

Very nice place to relax in Homa Bay. Although we stayed at our friends’ place in Homa Bay during our week-long Homa Bay visit, we had afternoon drinks at Cold Springs Hotel as well as dinner two nights. Fantastic view from the restaurant. Great food, great service, and very comfortable ambiance. Would recommend to anyone visiting Homa Bay.

Staff is friendly and helpfull. The chef made for us a clubsandwich. Even it was not on the menu. Stewart, Francisca. Thank you! Will be back in June! Rooms a simpel but clean. We did not use the swimmingpool. You can walk in the center of town from this hotel.

I always stay here when Im in Homa Bay. Very friendly and helpfull staff, save environment, clean rooms and comfortable bed, good restaurant and business rooms. Very affortable. And I love the pool and esspecially the view from the restaurant.

This is a great place to have a breakfast. They usually have a buffet breakfast for their accommodation guest that is also available for walk in guests at a great price for all the offerings that they provide. Their baked goods were my favorite.

Credit card was copied at check in followed by fraudulent activity. Had to cancel card which had a huge impact on our trip. Definitely happened at Cold Springs as this was the only time we used the card! In addition reception staff were rude and very slow especially when we asked for a room with a better view of the lake.

Wonderful experience with bubbly ladies at the reception. Emma made our hotel experience truly memorable with her warm smile and excellent service! The room I stayed in was nothing short of luxurious. Spacious, and equipped with modern amenities, it felt like a home away from home. The plush bedding ensured a restful night's sleep, and the.I will recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the near future.

Very bad. Totally. Unbelievable. The dining experience is trash. Not worth it. Do elsewhere like rusinga or baracudda. Worst experience. Asked to see the manager and was denied severally...our waiter was called Lynn..nowhere to be found...I got tired yani

For a four star rate hotel the experience was sub par. This is gloried to be the Gem of homabay, concierge upon arrival did not have the professionalism you would expect. The waiters at their lake view hotel are the worst in attitude and service..There is the hotel floor manager (a lady) she was a darling. This hotel's standards would not compare to it's equivalent in the heart of Karen in Nairobi. Given all I would bring it a star rating down. Special thanks to Waiter's Gilbert and Duncan who made the stay quite bearable. Improvement is paramount to for the hotel to live up to it's name
