NOTICE REGARDING CURRENT BEACH SITUATION:A tropical disturbance formed adjacent to Grand Cayman in June 2022. This produced extremely strong tidal action that eroded the beach along most of the southern end of Seven Mile Beach. At this time, most of the sand has been eroded from the beach in front of our condo and the water is coming right up to our seawall, with underwater rocks exposed form the lack of sand. This beach situation occurs every few years and may return to normal by the action of winds and storms. This is why our prices are already discounted by 20% to take into consideration this beach erosion issue. It is still possible to swim in the ocean in front of the condo, but if you prefer a nice sandy beach, the nearest access to a sandy area for swimming is just a couple of minutes walk across the parking lot of a neighbouring property where you will find a public beach access that will bring you to a sandy section of beach where you can swim. All beaches are public in terms of walking or swimming, however, all facilities at all properties are private. Bars and restaurants at these properties, however, do welcome anyone.Additionally, there is a very large public beach located about a 5 minute drive to the north, where you can find bathroom facilities as well as shaded cabanas etc. Loungers can also be rented.Please note that as a guess at Tamarind Bay you obviously have access to the very inviting pool area for your use, with loungers, umbrellas, and 2 shaded cabanas. BBQ facilities are also adjacent to the pool area. The summer systems tend to shift the sand north and the winter systems shift the sand back south. So it is quite likely that there will not be sand on the beach during the months of July through December when the winter waves do their job of bringing the sand back. The central section of Seven Mile Beach has the widest and most reliable stretch of beach but you will notice that reflected in the pricing of those complexes versus Cayman Reef. Happy to say that we currently have some beach (as of April 2025) in front of the complex and will likely have through June/July.We provide folding beach chairs so that you can access the beach next door (or elsewhere on the Island) if visiting during a time when our water is up to the wall.Check out our reviews on our other condos! Everything you need is within walking distance. The condo itself is located between the beach and the pool and you will enjoy beautiful views and amazing sunsets from the living room and its patio. The resort boasts a pool, a lighted tennis court, and plenty of green space. There is a king size bed in the bedroom as well as a queen size sofa bed in the living room. There are flat screen TVs in the living room and bedroom and and WIFI internet throughout the unit. We also include a phone with unlimited calls to Canada and the US and provide a local cell phone for you to use during your visit.We have paid attention to detail to ensure that you feel at home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the basics as well as some nice extras such as a coffee maker, set of wine glasses, serving dishes and knife block to name just a few. We have added high quality bedding and towels to ensure you are comfortable in all aspects. We are located on a beautiful, wide section of Seven Mile Beach close to all amenities. Enjoy snorkeling directly in front of the complex and easy access to all other watersports (jet-skiing, parasailing, banana boat, kayaking, etc) a short walk away at the Royal Palms beach bar. A visit to Cayman isn't complete without a visit to Stingray City. Tour operators will pick you up at the condo to take you to Stingray City or scuba diving. Also within walking distance is Cayman's newest development, Camana Bay, where you will find the cinema, shops, restaurants and a nice treat of ice cream or frozen yogurt. Our condo is also on the bus route for easy access to downtown George Town.Our condo is located in the heart of the action with too many restaurants and bars within walking distance to name. You will also find a great variety with many options in both casual, good value dining as well as high end dining. As for essentials, there are two supermarkets about a 15 minute walk away (in opposite directions), a wine/spirits/beer store across the road, and an ATM very close by.Cars are driven on the left side of the road in Cayman which can be daunting to many North Americans. There are plenty of options for car rentals but most visitors choose not to rent a car and walk to most attractions or catch the bus.As we live in the same complex, we offer you the additional benefit of being close by should you need anything. We include a welcome package of some of our favorite things to do on-island and where to find all of the necessities.
