Welcome to The Kipling Cottage! We are excited to share our cozy cottage with you. Our cottage is an Angler's paradise. You won't find a more convenient place than this with a public boat launch on Little Bay De Noc and two, locally owned bait shops right up the street. Fish year-round in one of the most coveted locations in the area. Our cottage has a huge front and back yard perfect for yard games, bonfires, and plenty of parking space for trailers, boats, etc... We are conveniently located minutes away from bars, restaurants, a grocery store and gas stations. A day trip away from Munising, Marquette or Manistique- the possibilities are endless! Our guests treasure memories made with their loved ones. Relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Centrally located In the UP on Lake Michigan (Little Bay de Noc) in Gladstone MI. Dock space for one boat (under 20 feet) and parking for 2 vehicles per cottage. Great location for day trips. Your cottage is about an hour (or less) drive to: Manistique, Munising, Marquette, Menominee, Iron Mountain, Fayette, Kitch-iti-kipi, Pictured Rocks, AuTrain, Eben Ice Caves, Hiawatha National Forest, Island Resort & Casino, Peninsula Point Lighthouse, Gladstone Beach, Van Cleve Park, Escanaba Beach, Ludington Park. Numerous golf courses, disc golf courses, hiking and biking trails, breweries, wineries.Little Bay De Noc is the Walleye fishing capital of the world. Many major fishing tournaments are hosted here. Walleye, Northern Pike, Salmon, Bass, Trout, Perch, and numerous other species. Fishing charters are available locally or you can fish from your boat or our dock. Launch and dock your boat here. Kayaks, paddle boats, canoe and life jackets provided. We have a large assortment of life jackets. Bait shops and public boat launch are only 1 - 1.3 miles away. Clean, comfortable and fully furnished. Two queen beds and a sofa sleeper. All bedding and towels are provided. Just bring your food, drinks, and personal items. Call us if you have special needs, we will see what we can do. There are steps into the cottage. Also, the kitchen and bathroom are small so not wheelchair accessible. Available year round for fishing. Also kayaking, boating, swimming, ATVing, hiking, biking, skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice fishing. We are pet friendly. Dogs are welcome. We just ask that you clean up after them and don't leave your pets unattended as a courtesy to other guests. Kipling Cottages' Little House is in Kipling on Bay Shore Drive. A clean, comfortable 2 bedroom, 1 bath house. Some vintage charm with modern updates. 1 King bed, 1 Full bed, Sleeper Sofa, Smart TVs, High Speed Internet. Six person hot tub, deck, fire pit. Just a few doors down from Blade's Bait Shop and The Kipling Bar. Excellent ice fishing location, you can ride sleds or atv's to access the lake at our other cottages, The Last Resort or at the Kipling Boat Launch. (both are less than a mile away, in opposite directions) At the end of a long day exploring the UP or fishing Little Bay de Noc, you can enjoy the private hot tub on the deck, facing the woods. Watch deer from the hot tub! Enjoy stargazing or gather around a bonfire.Little Bay de Noc is well known for great fishing. Bait shops and Kipling boat launch are within a mile. If you need a fishing guide, let us know and we can refer you to local guides.Located just a mile from our other cottages, The Last Resort. This house is NOT located on the lake, but you can park at The Last Resort and use kayaks, paddle boats and canoe on Lake Michigan for free. (May-October)Convenient central Upper Peninsula location is great for day trips to Kitchitikipi, Fayette, Munising waterfalls, Pictured Rocks, Marquette, Manistique, Iron Mountain.
