Come see why everyone rates us five stars!! You'll find yourself delighted to spend some time on the beautiful Delaware Bayfront off the grid in our beautiful and newly renovated cozy home! Just minutes from the popular NJ Motorsports Park in Millville, Fortescue is a small fishing village on the picturesque Delaware Bay that has a postcard-like ambiance that you will find incredibly relaxing and perfect for a getaway! Once known as the weakfish capital of the world, Fortescue is famous for it's beautiful beaches, party boat fishing, crabbing, world-famous birdwatching, and it's also a photographer's paradise. Just minutes away from Bivalve, where there are museums and NJ's working tall ship, the AJ Meerwald. There is also seasonal sightseeing and eagle watching for all. Take a special birdwatching and sightseeing tour with captain Dave aboard Maurice River Cruises. This home will not disappoint any photographer as well with the views from the front and back of the property on the surrounding wetlands that expand as far as the eye can see and is perfect for sunset and sunrise photos! This amazing home has three gorgeous bedrooms, brand new full bath and laundry, new kitchen, living, and dining room! Make this your new special getaway place year after year! Please note ... Eagles Nest is surrounded by wetlands and the Delaware Bay across the street. Never leave children unattended at any time outside on the deck or near the bay. Do not allow anyone to hang on, sit on, jump from, or climb over deck railings.Absolutely no running, jumping, or horseplay of any kind on decks.June 19th to August 5th (Give or take a few days)* Greenhead flies are a pest around the waterfront areas of Fortescue from mid-June thru late July. We recommend bringing bug spray and wearing as much white as possible, as greenheads only can see darker colors. They are also attracted to the heat of your vehicle so driving around can be quite unpleasant during these few weeks of the summer. But with the proper awareness and precautions, we have had countless guests enjoy all that Fortescue has to offer, even the beach, during these weeks. Some small children could have a hard time being outside in daylight hours during the greenhead season.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About customRules:Please only park directly in front of the house, use of the lot next door for parking or boat storage may be possible with neighbors permission..Please place all trash and recycling in the metal cans in the garage before checkout.,In Summer, please turn Air conditioning wall unit in the bedroom off before checkout, and in SUMMER, set the AC temp to 78 on the hall thermostat.About checkIn:Check in after 3:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 21.About events:No events allowed.

Immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of this 12 acre Riverfront property in Bridgeton, N.J. Experience the peaceful enjoyment of the property’s 800+ feet of direct river frontage on the Cohansey River. Situated on the site of the Prestigious Sora Gun Club, this historic 3-Bedroom, 2-Bath light-filled home with magnificent great room has classical details and distinctive appointments throughout. A serene Oasis! Many artifacts from the original structure including leaded glass doors and original gas lamps (converted to electric), along with a bedroom with walls constructed from the doors of the original club combine to create a unique blend of history with modern day comforts. With amazing water views from every room, along with eagles perched in the pine tree along the north side of the house, The Sora provides a special combination of historical charm and natural beauty. Also located on the property is an octagonal building which served as the outdoor kitchen for the gun club. The first floor of the narrow two story structure adjacent to the kitchen contains the original lockers where guests stored their guns used to hunt the Sora Rail Bird. The keys to the lockers along with the names of the guests, written in their own hand, remain in their original location. The second floor of the building housed the staff who provided service to guests. Updated with a modern kitchen and game room, The Sora is located only 35 miles from Philadelphia and an easy drive from New York. Historic Greenwich Township Greenwich Township was first formed as a precinct on January 19, 1748, and was incorporated by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 21, 1798, as one of New Jersey's initial group of 104 townships. Portions of Hopewell Township and Stow Creek Township were annexed in 1845. The township was named for Greenwich, England. In 1774, during the run-up to the American Revolutionary War, the small community on the Cohansey River was the site of the Greenwich Tea Party, in which a load of tea meant to be sent overland into Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was torched in the night. After the Revolutionary War, the pronunciation of the town was changed to Green-witch to differentiate itself from its English namesake Apple Picking Crisp and rosy, apples are biding their time in orchards throughout New Jersey.
