Empire Hotel Hong Kong - Causeway Bay

The hotel is conveniently located about an 8-minute walk from Tin Hau MTR station, right next to Victoria Park. The street downstairs has a good variety of shops, and the beef noodles and Japanese food nearby are delicious. The room size is relatively small compared to mainland China, only about 20 square meters, but that might be considered quite spacious for Hong Kong. You can even see the Ferris wheel in Central, so it might count as a room with a view. The hotel's service is excellent. All in all, it's a pretty good accommodation option in Hong Kong. You can enjoy a beautiful night view of Victoria Harbour from the 30th floor of the hotel!

Have the mainland Chinese guests staying at this hotel never traveled abroad before?! Elevators abroad use 'G' for the ground floor! The 2nd floor is '1'! Every single day I run into clueless folks from the mainland getting in and immediately hitting '1'! Use your brain, will you?! Travel more and broaden your horizons! Stop embarrassing yourselves! --- The hotel is too small. While that's somewhat understandable, if anyone says the service is good, it's only because Trip.com's service is good! Trip.com has got your back anywhere in the world. Trip.com is simply the best! Water pressure and temperature in the shower were alright, pretty decent. ---

I chose The Empire Hotel Causeway Bay primarily for its location. It's incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and the MTR, making it easy to get around even with luggage. The front desk service was decent; communication was smooth, and they even offered a free late check-out, which was a lifesaver for catching a late flight. Breakfast was standard fare – filling but nothing to write home about. The hotel's drawbacks were also quite apparent – typical for Hong Kong hotels, the rooms are on the small side. With two people and suitcases, it felt a bit cramped. Waiting for elevators during peak hours could be a bit tedious. Most of the guests were mainland tourists, making it lively but not exactly quiet.

The room was decent, a bit small but clean enough. The air conditioning was quite loud, but if you turned it off, sleeping was very quiet. The bus stop is not far downstairs, so getting around is convenient. However, it's a bit of a walk to the subway station! The room also came with two complimentary coconut waters and a toothbrush. Everything else was fine, except for the high holiday surcharge!

The hotel was renovated in 2017, but the room, including every corner of the bathroom, was spotless. The entire hotel is exceptionally well-maintained and thoughtfully run. **Service** Upon arriving at the lobby in the afternoon, there were many stored suitcases filling the corners. The lobby staff were very welcoming and enthusiastic, opening the doors for guests. Lobby suggestion: Adding fresh flowers would make it feel more vibrant. **Environment** The hotel is located near Tin Hau Station Exit A2 (the subway sign says A1, which is a bit roundabout). Walk straight across a small street for about 3-5 minutes, and you'll reach it easily. Even with a large 26-inch suitcase, it was no trouble. Along the street, there are various dessert shops and restaurants. **Facilities** Although the hotel was renovated in 2017, the facilities are very well-maintained. There are night lights by the bedside in the room. The bath towels are new, and the toiletries have a pleasant botanical scent. The room has two direct USB charging ports, so you don't even need to bring a UK adapter – it's more than enough. There are two types of pillows (soft and firm) available by the bed, which shows excellent attention to detail. 💯

It's super convenient! Just a few minutes' walk to the MTR and tram stops right after you turn right. Plus, there are plenty of food options downstairs. Hong Kong prices are seriously high, though, haha. Taxis here are not for the faint of heart.

It's super convenient for taking the MTR. The hotel itself is small but exquisite, with everything you need. Some rooms even have sea views, where you can lie back and watch the Victoria Harbour fireworks!

The room is quite small, but the hygiene is good, which is the main selling point – it's clean. It's convenient for getting anywhere. There's a supermarket and restaurants downstairs, which is great. You can walk to Victoria Park, and it's very close to Tin Hau MTR station. Behind the hotel, there are tram stops (ding ding tram), bus stops, and even a McDonald's.

Overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay at The Park Lane Hong Kong, a Pullman Hotel. The hotel's location is convenient, the room was good, and the staff's service attitude was excellent. The overall check-in experience was positive. The only noticeable issue was the soundproofing in the room, which was not very good. When trying to rest at night, I could clearly hear conversations from the adjacent room, especially when it was quiet in the middle of the night. This did affect my sleep to some extent. If the hotel could improve the soundproofing of the rooms in the future, the overall stay experience would be even better. Overall, it was a good stay, and I hope the soundproofing issue will be improved on my next visit.
