It’s an older hotel, that’s understandable, but the stains on the carpet and the old cigarette smoke smell are a little much. I’ve been in much worse hotels in China, but not in Hong Kong. The value is great, but the hotel needs updating. No complimentary waters, no bar of soap, amenities need to be brought up to the China standard. Beautiful views, nice location, just needs cleaning and updating.

I don’t have high expectations as I know from news that this hotel building is about to be redeveloped soon. I guess the staff team will not so ambitious in enhancing their service. It is good for a retreat considering the location. It is a surprise that they have a sauna, which is hot enough. Other facilities are getting old.

My family enjoyed our stay at Royal View hotel. The bed is super comfortable and the view is amazing. The hotel.is clean and quiet. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The shuttle bus service is brilliant. We will come back next time.
