ibis Hong Kong Central and Sheung Wan Hotel

Hotel is well situated, although it’s a solid 10min walk from MTR. Bed was not very comfy and room was over ventilated/cold with moldy smell but nothing too bad, especially for the price. Staff is very nice and breakfast is so so. I would recommend if you want to spend couple of days for a quick visit in the city.

The staff were very friendly. They let me check in early and check out late. They also helped me store my cake in the fridge!

The location is convenient, with many traditional local restaurants nearby. The room was comparatively spacious in Hong Kong, which was a nice plus. However, the room felt quite dated and could have been cleaner, as there was some noticeable dust. Overall, it was a decent stay.

Location for this hotel is a 10 minutes walk from Sheung Wan MTR station. the pathway is not levelled so walking is challenging for seniors. I have a gut feel that the distance to sai ying pun station may be nearer but anyways, all maps apps says Sheung Wan is nearer. Having said that, the location is quite convenient if you need a 7-11 there's one just outside the hotel, a traditional teahouse that opens at 6 am so that's another option for your breakfast. The public food center is just behind this hotel but alas, i did not have the opportunity to try. interesting neighbourhood. Room is spartan but functional and clean. Suggest you bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste as well as toiletries. Staff is very warm and courteous. And they look happy. will return again
