Elysion Place Hotel Causeway Bay

The stay was disappointing for a 4-star hotel. It felt more like a 3-star standard, especially the room quality. We only stayed one night and were glad to leave. The lobby is nice and there is a free coffee machine, but no milk is provided, so only black coffee or espresso is available. We booked a high-floor room. It was smaller than expected and quite worn for a hotel less than 10 years old. The air conditioning was weak but very noisy. There was visible mould in the bathroom and around the room, which shows poor cleaning. The bedding didn’t feel fresh. The electric kettle looked old and unsafe. The room safe was locked and couldn’t be used. The shower leaks water onto the bathroom floor, and there is only one sliding door – you can close either the shower area or the toilet, but not both at the same time. Overall, the room was not clean or well-maintained. I expected much better from a 4-star hotel.

This small and quiet hotel is nice location and close to transport links, the bus terminal to other areas and walking distance to the HK metro, the HK library is near by. The hotel room is basic and has always the amenities for 1-2 nights stay. There is also a small gym on the 2nd floor.

Great location, few steps away from tram, metro and bus stations. Good value for the $$.

5 Star service from staff. Very attentive house keeping staff. Nice looking lobby. Has a mini fridge but isnt super cold and would store drinks but not milk. Kettle, cups and complimentary coffee in lobby. Some areas that could be improved: Blue Light next to bed on switches are handy for finding the switch at night but can be bright for sleeping. Bit smaller room but good trade off if central location is key. Bed is on firmer side and pillows lower for my personal liking preference. No conditioner is provided, only shampoo and body wash so pack conditioner if that's something you need.
