Relaxing Stay at Gold Coast Hotel – Perfect for a Leisure Break!
We stayed at Gold Coast Hotel for 3 nights and had a truly enjoyable experience. The highlight for my husband was definitely the pool – spacious, clean, and very safe with three lifeguards always on duty. It gave us peace of mind, especially when the pool got a bit busy.
The hotel is close to the sea, and while the water isn’t pristine clear, it’s still swimmable and adds a lovely coastal vibe to the stay. The beachside area is relaxing, and great for lazy walks.
Breakfast buffet was a daily treat – a wide variety of both Western and Asian options, fresh and filling. The staff were all very polite, helpful, and professional, which really enhanced our stay.
One thing to note: the location is a bit far from the city center – it takes about an hour by train from Central. You’ll also need a taxi from the hotel to the nearest MTR station, although there is a bus stop about a 10-minute walk away if you prefer public transport.
Overall, we had a great time at GCH. It’s ideal for guests looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle of the city.
This hotel has become my go-to choice whenever I visit Hong Kong. While it’s slightly removed from the city center, the trade-offs are well worth it. (Larger room sizes and more affordable rates compared to hotels in more central areas.)
The room is clean, cozy, and well-suited for all types of travelers. The hotel features a functional 24-hour gym, and there are convenient food options and a convenience store nearby. It’s also just a 5-minute walk from the Tuen Mun MTR station, which provides easy access to the rest of the city.
Overall, a reliable and comfortable stay that offers great value without compromising on quality.
This was my second stay at the hotel. During my first visit, I was given the Penguin Room, which was adorable and much appreciated by both myself and my mum. Unfortunately, this time I was assigned the Greece-themed room, and the experience was not as pleasant.
The room felt even more dated than the Penguin Room. The toilet flushing system was weak, requiring several flushes to clear waste and toilet paper, which was quite inconvenient. The wash basin also drained very slowly, and the sink area easily flooded with normal use. These plumbing issues definitely need attention.
The view from the room was poor, facing directly into the building next door — which meant I couldn’t open the curtains at all for privacy reasons. The desk was also just as shaky as in the previous room — it really feels like it's about to collapse anytime, and should be replaced as soon as possible.
Sadly, this room gave off more of a 3-star hostel vibe rather than a proper hotel experience. The hotel really needs to invest in renovations and maintenance if it wants to meet the expectations of returning guests

This is a family hotel, the location is very good, two intersections from Mong Kok Station, there is an elevator upstairs, the room is ten flats, but the things are quite complete (there is a separate bathroom, shower, air conditioning, fan, conversion plug, but we live in that room without windows, but fortunately I didn't feel stuffy). The boss is a beautiful woman, the people are very good, the hotel staff is very good, there are any problems to take the initiative to help, we arrived early, the boss also said that there are two rooms for us to choose 🤭. The password is required to enter the door, it is very safe and cost-effective.

Good location, very close to Mongkok station. The room is not big. Booked for 3 people, got 3 single beds. The entrance is a bit narrow for carrying luggage. Have to walk up the stairs and take the lift to the 4th floor to check in. The accommodation is on the 5th floor. The room is reasonably clean. The bathroom is not big according to the size of the room, but there is a separate toilet and shower area. Looks new. No breakfast, but near the market. Can walk to eat congee comfortably. The staff may mostly speak Chinese, but the service is good. There is only one officer. Went at the end of December.

Though the unit was quite small, I think it was a good value for the price. The location was very convenient, as it was close to DS Grocery, Lunfung, Ladies Market, the Bank of China, and the station. Everything you need is nearby, making it a great spot to stay. The owner/manager was also very accommodating and took care of all our requests. While it wasn’t the most luxurious place, I really appreciated their hospitality, and I still enjoyed my stay. I only stayed there to sleep and shower, so if you're looking to save money while being close to the center, this place could be a good option.

I looked at hotels for a long time when I was traveling, and I chose this one in a few hours. I didn't expect it to disappoint me. The room was very clean and odorless, and it was very quiet to sleep. The boss also provided free drinks and the like. The law in Hong Kong is Disposable toothbrushes and slippers are not provided, so we brought our own. The room is large enough for accommodation and large suitcases can be opened. After all, land is very expensive in Hong Kong, and everyone will definitely go out to check in at the attractions. The location is also very good. It's about two minutes from the subway station. The boss is very polite and supports luggage storage.
I wish the boss a prosperous business and we will come again next time!
