"The hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of the commercial street, and it is very convenient to go shopping and eat. The beach is right outside the swimming pool area on the first floor of the hotel. The coastal restaurants on the first and second floors of the hotel have great views, so you have to wait for a table during dinner time. The room is very large, and the king-size bed with sea view is very comfortable. It is also very pleasant to sit on the balcony and watch the sea."

"The hotel is a small but beautiful hotel. The rooms are not big and relatively new. The facilities are very convenient. Although it is small, it has all the essentials. The valet pick-up speed is faster than most Waikiki hotels because it is parked opposite. It is very easy to go downstairs to go shopping in the supermarket. It's convenient and not in a busy area, so the location is relatively quiet. The restaurants are pretty good, and several restaurants are very close to the sea. Service is good. Room service response speed is good. The only drawback is that there is no direct access to the beach. The swimming pool is relatively small and the distance between the lounge chairs is tight. It is very close to the restaurant. If there are people dining next to it, it will be cluttered. The balconies in the rooms are relatively close together and the privacy is poor. You can see other people's balconies if you tilt your head slightly, but the sea view is pretty good."

"Such a wonderful location. The hotel is a little older but rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff can't do enough for you. There are ABC stores all around for anything you may need. The lobby is beautiful. We didn't use the pool as we preferred to swim at the beach which is just across the road."

"Stayed here for the second time. It was as good as before✧٩(ˊωˋ*)و✧ The hotel is on one side of Waikiki Beach, and you can walk to Waikiki Beach. On the other side is Ala Monma Shopping Center, which is just across the bridge. Next to the hotel is the Hertz car rental pick-up point, which is very convenient. Especially suitable for people who don't want to sleep lightly and don't want to be noisy by the Waikiki Beach. I booked a sea view room. Opposite is the pier where various boats are docked⛵️. The view is very good. You can see surfers in the distance in the morning🏄 The hotel has a gym, but not many people. There is a swimming pool and an infinity pool/hot pool on the 5th floor, and there are singers singing. The vibe is very feel, and you can relax on the lounge chair next to it. Finally, a small complaint, Ctrip says it's a big bed OR a twin bed, and I was 🌚 assigned a twin bed and it was fully booked that day and couldn't be changed... Everything else is fine, very much in line with expectations. The check-in was a bit slow. What was encouraging was that the check-in lady sternly rejected the Korean couple who cut in line and told them to go and queue up👍 (speechless"

"I saw in other reviews that the facilities were outdated, but overall, it felt new and the location is right in front of Waikiki Beach, so it's great for shopping and going to the ocean. I came to Oahu for shopping after being on another island, and the location is good enough to walk to this accommodation. The only regret, like other reviews, was that the soundproofing was really poor."

Situated in a reasonably good location and boasting cleanliness throughout, the hotel offered convenience and comfort in many aspects with a great pool and bar area including a separate adults pool. However, certain factors detracted from the overall experience, leaving us with mixed feelings about our time there. Let's start with the positives. The hotel's location, while not directly in the heart of the city hub, offered a decent compromise between convenience and tranquility. Close proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon provided easy access to beach activities and waterfront relaxation, adding a touch of serenity to our stay. Additionally, we found the hotel to be impeccably clean, with well-maintained facilities and a commitment to hygiene that was commendable. Despite these strengths, there were some notable downsides to our experience. The most significant inconvenience was the walking distance to the main city hub, which required a 15-20 minute walk to reach popular attractions, dining establishments, and shopping venues. While not a dealbreaker, this added a layer of logistical planning to our daily activities and limited spontaneity. Another issue that significantly impacted our stay was the persistent noise from the elevator. Unfortunately, our room was located close to the elevator, resulting in constant disturbances throughout the day and night. The loud mechanical noises disrupted our sleep and detracted from the overall ambiance of relaxation that we had hoped for. In summary, Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu offered a mix of positives and negatives during our stay. While the hotel's cleanliness and proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon were definite highlights, the walking distance from the city hub, the disruptive elevator noise, and having to pay for hotel parking detracted from the overall experience."

"Booked another stay the Marriott, my go-to when heading to Oahu. Location is fantastic for the beach, and I don’t mind the walk to the International Marketplace or Royal Hawaiian Center for shopping and dining because you really get to see so much going on. Room was clean and surprisingly even though I booked a city view room, I still had a partial ocean view."

"Convenient location.. Lawson has everything needed food, drinks, souvenirs and water fun toys. Room decent modern and big. Cabana was pricey but worth a try if u wanna stay by the pool and beach all day. Access to the beach is easy peasy."

"We had such a great time couple days the winds were high, but we didn’t let that spoil our vacation. The sun was out that’s the most important thing in the temperature was in the 70s and 80s and so perfect for people from Seattle Washington rainbows you know it’s a tropical area so the rainbows appear in the sky just so beautiful fireworks on Friday night was outstanding. Looks like all of Waikiki came to look And we stayed in the Tapa building and ocean view just outstanding. The restaurants to Bali was fabulous. The restaurants are on the street level was fantastic and we walked around the city and experience various type of cuisine. This is an outstanding vacation seven days and my wife and I are so glad that we have mobility and at our age so we could really enjoy the beach. Enjoy the catamaran enjoy just walking around the city shopping and so just outstanding. We look forward to another vacation like that. "
