Because I made an appointment to see the ice cave the next day, I found that it was only 46 kilometers away from the meeting point. Although I had to go back, the price was the most cost-effective, so I booked it. We didn’t arrive at Glacier Lagoon until 10 o’clock in the evening. After taking pictures, we arrived at the hotel at 11:30. I discovered that there is a large glacier behind the hotel. You can completely see it from the window of the room. When you were lying on the bed, you also found that there was a skylight on the roof. You could see it while lying on the bed. See the stars and auroras! The space is indeed a bit small (a common phenomenon in Icelandic hotels!), but despite its small size, it was fully equipped and we made dinner in the room. There is floor heating in the bathroom, which is very nice👍

There is a small wooden cabin with a view of the glacier. The facilities are very complete, including a small kitchen where you can cook something. The landlord is very kind. It is half an hour away from the town of Höfen. If you like glacier hiking and the glacial lake, you can choose to stay here. It is relatively empty, and you need to go to the small town of Hefen to purchase food.
