The Victoria

Called in on Easter Sunday on the off chance they had space for our camper van. Luckily for us they did and we parked up in their secure car park. We had a fantastic time, enjoyed some fabulous food and drinks too. Staff were tremendous on what was an extremely busy day.

Arrived here to get something to eat. The lady said the kitchen opened at 5pm. She spoke to the chef who agreed to make something for us. The food was absolutely amazing and staff were pleasant and attentive. The premises was very clean and fresh

I felt compelled to write this review after realising that although we often write reviews for places when we are away on breaks and holidays we never do it for our local establishments. We seem to take them for granted. The Victoria were advertising a Tapas night for Valentine’s and we fancied the idea. They were aware in advance that I am dairy and gluten intolerant. It was a set menu including breads and desserts, desserts in particular being difficult for me. I’m often given a naff bread when I ask for gluten free bread however the rolls I were given I recognised and buy for myself and love. I was given a very tasty cake for dessert with a compote. Emma the manager was excellent at taking the time to highlight the tapas that were suitable for me and I was by no means limited. The food was lovely. The table was decorated beautifully. The ambience was just right and the service from the girls friendly and fun whilst being unobtrusive. A great night, thanks to all 💕

We went to the victoria just by chance for lunch today…we definitely were not disappointed. We chose the ploughman’s to share, great choice excellent quality and presentation. The lady that served us was lovely very friendly made us and our three dogs feel very welcome. The pub itself is clean and well appointed looks like it has recently been renovated and painted. Great place to visit if you are in Hornsea would highly recommend.

My partner and I went for an amazing peppercorn fountain meal . Served fast and warm Lots on the tray of difgerent meats Tender steak /chicken/black pudding and local sausage Served with homemade wedges and onion rings The most amazing meal I have had so far . Thankyou

We had a meal in the bar area. I had the lamb liver in Yorkshire pudding with all the trimmings, Sue had the gammon & egg with all the trimmings. Beautiful meals well presented & very tasty. Friendly staff & a good pint of Morretti & John Smith beers. Clean throughout & a great atmosphere. Very good value for money considering the quality of food served. Thank you.
