What a fantastic Hotel. The Staff without exception were the best we've experienced in a long time. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent both breakfast and dinner. The lovely chef recommended the Swordfish for our second dinner having been caught 4 hours before. It was an absolute delight. Our lovely room had a view of Pico. Definitely a fantastic trip.

The large rooms all come with a lovely balcony and view. The restaurant is good and so is the bar (also with a nice view) It's a bit up hill from the main part of town and harbor, although we walked it a number of times and there are plenty of taxis if you don't feel like a walk. We really enjoyed our stay.

We were given room 202 which happens to be below the restaurant and bar. All we could hear was chairs being pulled across the hardwood floor and kids running back and forth. If you choose to stay here make sure it’s on the 4th floor or higher.

While the review of the hotel is not that great, I have to start with mentioning the hotel staff. They were absolutely the best, super nice, super helpful, super friendly and super accommodate and that goes to say for every person we dealt with. As for the rooms themselves it does not go that far. The rooms seem to be from another time frame and not the future. The TV in the room requires 2 remotes and they still fo not work, even if you get them to work somehow the quality is so bad that you still can't see anything. There is a TV in the reception but it's always cartoons as kids have no other escape. The WiFi in the room is non existent, so if you need to look something up guess what you are headed back to the lobby. The hair drier if probably 50 years old and is too difficult to use as it heats up and super hot to hold. Shower is another story, as there is no hot water and the shower head does no stay up, if you manage to put it in do not get alarmed when it falls in the middle of the night. As for the safe, you need to ask for a lock and key at the front desk, which I guess is better than not having one at all. It is advertised as a 4 star hotel, but don't even have basic tissues in the room

We were booked in here when our flight to Flores was cancelled. Staff were most welcoming and helpful.Up hill from the town centre but a relatively short walk. This would not suit everyone but we were fine with it. Had a swimming pool and good views over the harbour and town. There was a goood range of food at breakfast fruit, pastries, eggs, bacon, breads, yogurts, cold meats and cheese, cereals and drinks. The hot items were hot. We would happily choose to return to this hotel when visiting Horta.

The Horta Hotel is located in the town of Horta, Faial Island the rooms are air conditioned, T Its restaurant, Hortinsia, is ideal pha a magnificent view of the Pico Mountain. those who have time can enjoy a swimming pool and a garden for moments of relaxation.

Very nice hotel, the staff is competent and very friendly! An extraordinary view of the island of Pico (weather permitting) as well as the town of Horta. The proximity to the port and the city center makes it easy to go for a walk but be careful of the climb on the way back!!! If you wish to rent a vehicle, you will easily find parking in front of the hotel. An address that we highly recommend if you want to go to the island of Faial!
