I came to Australia alone and glad to meet many kind local people. They are very friendly including these Yha receptionists.
The Yha is very close to CityHall and city Interchange Stop… It is convenient to many places.

I check in late and check out early. So i don’t know how service is great.
You can check in after 5pm by call.
According to the information i’ve seen, if you check in after midnight, you will have to pay an additional fee.

What a super little hostel! Excellent location just minutes from the waterfront. Lovely man in reception - they always give a tour of facilities. Hostel is set in an old Victorian house which is delightful. Large well- equipped kitchen, free food available from previous guests. A lovely garden although it had yappy dogs in it so I wasn’t a fan. Beautiful upstairs verandah with comfortable seating, and sofas in other spaces to no shortage of places to relax.
I was in a female four bed dorm which was a bit tight for space but I saw other rooms which seemed more spacious with wider beds. I loved the individual lights and fans for each bed. My bottom bunk had a curtain but I wouldn’t have like being in a top bunk as they didn’t, so you were exposed to the main light going o etc.
The only thing that spoiled my stay was the same thing that spoils every stay I’ve had when travelling - thoughtless guests who make noise early in the morning/late at night. The three girls sharing my room got up at various times from 5.30 onwards so needless to say my morning did not start well! Hostel management can’t do much about that though.
Immaculately clean bathrooms and a good vibe. I’d definitely stay here again, but in a private room!

AAnonymous UserVery convenient location and easy to access any major sightseeing spots. The motel keeps things clean and tidy. Great size of rooms and very happy with the customer service. Has got amenities, towels, tea/coffee, plates, cutlery, microwave, dishwashing liquid and some towels. Amazing service for the price. Just a bit noisy from the road when traffic passes and noise from neighbours as the wall is thin. Other than that, very happy with the accommodation.
SstellachenlyParking is free. The front desk left the key in the mailbox after get off work on the day I arrived. The room is large, it is convenient to eat downstairs, and Coles and WWS are very close.
But there are no slippers and shower gel. We brought our own toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable slippers, etc., but they were basically used up after playing in Australia for ten days. It is convenient to buy shower gel and toothpaste in the supermarket, but you must pay attention to the fact that you can't buy slippers!
Tasmania is fun and the self-driving experience is great!

GGuest UserThis accomodation was perfect for a short stay near the airport, without costing a fortune. It was priced well, was clean and had everything I needed. Check in and checkout were done without physical contact, and were seamless and easy. Accomodation was able to accomodate last minute late check in which I appreciated. The room was small, so for a couple with a lot of luggage might be tight, but suited my needs just fine. Would stay there again
GGuest UserThe room is large, with enough space to put 2 large storage boxes Parking space, as the hotel is not in the city center, more convenient for self-drive travelers.
GGuest UserIf you are in Hobart I can tell you the best place to stay is the Tower motel, my wife and i stayed there for 5 days the rooms are cleaned every day the staff are soooo good and direct you to all over Tassie if your lost. Speak to Ann front desk she is a wealth of information and such a nice person. The Tower Motel Hobart 5 minute drive from the centre of the city.we stayed 3rd 4th Feb then 11th 12th 13th feb Thank you to all the staff from David and Carmelita Griffiths.
狄狄The hotel room is more general, the facilities are simple and the price is low. But the buffet on the first floor of the hotel is not bad, 35 knives for adults, 15 knives for children, 85 knives for a family of three, great prawn and all kinds of delicious food. Some foods taste more than the buffet at the wrest point hotel in the same city, but others Children under the age of five are free. The hotel is on a very high hillside, overlooking Hobart's night view and sunrise is good, taking a few photos in the window, ok.

GGutmanStandard motel, but the price is competitive. There are microwaves, refrigerators, electric kettles, etc. in the room, and there is a Woolworth supermarket 1km away. You can buy some food yourself, and you don’t need to rush to eat their breakfast. Not far from the freeway, it's an easy drive to downtown Hobart. KFC and McDonald's are very close.
Parking is free.
The room was clean, the bed and equipped with electric blankets. There is a heater but no air-conditioning. If it is very hot in summer, it will be sad.
It was quiet at night, but on the first day there was a storm and the door of the room was blown loudly.
GGuest UserCapsule was very spacious, love the lighting control system in there. Towels provided as well. It’s also very clean!
Toilets have squeaky floorboards that dirty water comes out of. The bath itself is alright, it’s when you step out of the bath that becomes the problem.
Was not able to connect to wifi, but since you can only connect to the owners via email, I didn’t try to do that too much of a hassle.
For the price it’s really good at a fantastic location as well. Would recommend if you’re not too pressed about the toilets.

GGutmanA very good hotel. The proprietress is Chinese, there is no communication barrier, and she is very kind. Introducing a remarkable cave very close to Port Arthur, with absolutely unbeatable sea views.
The room is very clean and equipped with a microwave, toaster, refrigerator, tableware, etc. It is very convenient for families to travel. You can see the sea view from the hotel.
Self-driving parking in Hobart is troublesome. Even if you pay, parking on the roadside is generally limited to 1 or 2 hours. The parking fee for other hotels is AUD 28 a day, and they can park for free. Even if the parking space is full, there is no charge for parking on the road in front of the door.
It takes 5 minutes to drive to the city center. The walk is only 1.5km, but the slope of the road is very steep and the walk is a bit tiring.

SSwanna HYou get what you paid for. A very run down motel in need of a renovation. The pictures looks like it was taken a long time ago, definitely didn’t look like that condition.
There are no stairs, so be prepared to climb up with luggage. The toilet was so old that the plastic was crusty. The shower curtains were hanging for its dear life on 2 rings left. The room was quite dark and scary with missing lights. There was a fluorescent light just lying on the floor. The ceiling had some water damage previously causing maybe a hole or cracks in the ceiling, so they patched it up with a board with 2 out of the 4 screws still intact. It looked very unsafe and could fall any time.
