Hostel in a apartment with excellent facilities, but may be a little bit far away from public transports. Quiet neighborhood, and the bed was big and comfortable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a youth hostel that truly stood out for its exceptional qualities. Nestled in a residential area, its location was incredibly convenient, offering a tranquil retreat just a bike ride away from the city center—less than 10 minutes to be exact. This made for peaceful nights, ensuring a restful sleep in a safe environment. The hostel is run by a delightful couple whose hospitality knew no bounds. They were not only eager to assist with any issues that arose but also went above and beyond by providing bicycles. This thoughtful touch significantly enhanced my mobility around Houston, allowing me to reach various destinations swiftly. What set this hostel apart was the attention to detail and the array of complimentary amenities, including cookies, milk, cereal, coffee, and tea. The cleanliness and smart technology throughout the house contributed to a seamless stay, making it the best hostel experience I've ever had. The bathroom towels folded into swan shapes were a testament to the owners' dedication to detail, adding a touch of elegance and care. The warmth of the place was akin to being at home, with the owners always ready for a chat, eager to answer questions, and share their stories and experiences. A highlight for me was the world map on the living room wall, where guests could pin their home countries—a fun and interactive way to connect with fellow travelers. In summary, this hostel was more than just a place to stay; it felt like a home, or perhaps more accurately, a homestay. It's undoubtedly the best hostel I've ever stayed in globally, blending the comfort of a home with the adventurous spirit of a hostel.

The hostel is a house located in a lovely and quiet neighborhood (probably also a rich one as my friend growing up in Houston said). Coffee shops, cafes and a bus stop is within 10 mins walking. In the end, it gave me all hostel experience that I’d expect. I got to talk to people in the shared spaces, which is refreshing when traveling solo. While with beds almost fully booked, it was never too noisy (I did had “roommates” snoring or packing loudly at night but these are inevitable in hostels anyways). The check in was smooth and Rax/manager was responsive. Things I do want to mention is that the hosts did get in to solve issues or cleaning up while people are still staying in beds as mentioned in some other comments. Leaving bags and picking up later was a lot of trouble unlike common hotel experience. These are fair in hostel stays but I’m wiring these to help manage the expectations Some extras in a good way: earbuds provided; guests can help themselves on the first floor to get instant noodles or bottled water and venmo them; access to kitchen essentials (utensils, kettle); spotless and renovated; portable nightlights on each bed

Great location! Wonderful hosts! Cathy was extremely helpful! :-) Great value, especially since I didn’t want to spend $200 to stay downtown Houston. Plus, the hostel was extremely clean…guests were friendly and respectful. Couldn’t have asked for anything better!! 🙃🤙🏾😊

My experience was great! Great location, comfortable and clean house. The hosts were very friendly, nice and open, willing to help. Neighborhood looked safe, green, close to public transportation and downtown. I would come back again, if I were in Houston.
