What a hidden gem! We visit Brighton frequently and fancied a change from the big hotels that we usually use - that was a good decision. Our room (no. 5 floor on the 1st floor) was lovely; the best we’ve stayed in at any hotel in the city. Quirky decor and a super comfy bed. The bathroom was large and beautifully decorated, with quality toiletries. We had breakfast, which was delicious with a great choice. The staff are friendly and professional. Location is fabulous being so close to the seafront and the Hove shops. The only downside is the noise from the bar downstairs. However, that’s what you get when you stay above a pub and the website clearly states that there may be noise. Ear plugs are provided and worked really effectively. There are also rooms on the 2nd floor, which would be quieter. We will be back!

Lovely pub with quirky comfortable rooms. A wonderful friendly pub with plenty of entertainment. Food was reasonably priced with plenty of choice. Breakfast was amazing. Plenty of choice with top quality produce. Had a 2 two night stay. Well worth the money . Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Perfect 🥰 Staff were friendly, helpful and engaging. Couldn't fault the rooms, spacious and well thought out. Breakfast was tasty, filling and well presented. Good value for money, 10 min walk from Brighton Centre. This is now my go to for visiting Brighton. Well done!

We stayed a Saturday night, and were really impressed with the place. Our room was gorgeous, with a large and very comfortable bed, and the bathroom was huge with an amazing shower. We had a partial sea view from the big bay window at the front of the hotel (2nd floor). The bar downstairs was welcoming, and when we came back from our evening out, we were able to get a couple of cocktails and take them up to our room. We had an excellent full English breakfast, freshly-cooked (not buffet style), the next morning. We have already recommended the Southern Belle to friends, and will definitely stay again when we're next down in Brighton. x

Lovely local pub with rooms in Hove. Close to all amenities and local bars and old market Venue. Friendly welcome, good breakfast , what more could you wish for.. thank you and hope to be back another time 😊 i will recommend you to family and friends. Xx

Loved this quirky little hotel . It had a great vibe about it and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room on the top floor was spotless with a comfortable bed and away from street noise . We had a drink in the bar before a meal in town and liked the atmosphere and eclectic decor . Our breakfast was served piping hot and was delicious . Quality products had been sourced . We'd definitely come here again.

Great hotel amazing staff We stayed for a week in October From the moment we arrived we were treated with a welcome from all the staff Rooms are lovely comfy bed Breakfast was great Will definitely return Nothing is too much trouble Staff very knowledgeable of area happy to give advice on places to visit
