Huangshan Bai Yun Hotel

This hotel is super awesome! It may look a little dated but it’s very well maintained. A lot of extra services provided like cloth washing detergent, a bucket for you to soak your tired feet with warm water, thick jackets if you did not bring enough warm clothings. And of course the very warm and welcoming staff providing great service and directions around the hotel. You can view sunrise when it’s not foggy at the Bright Summit which is 10 mins walk. And it’s also near the Xihai viewing platform to view the mountains.

Bai YunHotel had extremely friendly staff who went above and beyond with their level of service, especially from Xiao Ye! We were provided with a lot of information about upcoming weather, sunrise/sunset probabilities and even provided entertainment in the evening with a show, hosted by the staff! The room was spacious with comfortable beds, and great sanitary facilities (including a heated toilet seat!) Waterproof jackets and umbrellas were provided in the room for you to use during your stay which was extremely helpful if it started to rain! We would highly recommend Bai Yun hotel & Xiao Ye in particular for a great place to stay when visiting the Huangshan mountains - the extra night allows you to explore and appreciate the mountains beauty!

After careful consideration, we decided to book Baiyun Hotel because of the convenient location to the various spots of sunrise and sunset. We were lucky enough to start our day early and therefore arrived earlier than check-in times. The staff was kind enough to let us into the room at that time and Ms. SONG was the loveliest, as she was constantly taking care of us, including sending us messages through WeChat regarding sunset/sunrise times, suggestions, tips, amenities and shows. (The hotel even had a performance later in the evening). Regarding the rooms, they were quite nice, the hotel even provided thick jackets so that we can be warmer during those early morning trips. What stood out for us was that the bathroom included a Japanese toilet and very nice body lotion. One thing that could be said, is that they were slightly pushy about providing a 5-star review, which they do deserve.

the hotel was excellent. above and beyond any expectations. the front desk lady Xiao Mei and another lady surname Yeh were the most outstanding. the manager of restaurant was beyond excellent. room was so cute and clean. they think of everything. they are better than many four seasons and ritz Carlton hotels I've stayed at in nyc and Hong Kong. the location is the best. there is no other place to stay. the sunset and sunrise views are easily accessible from here. 

Great location near sunrise and sunset viewpoints, the best is about staffs here especially around receptions. they are friendly, kind and super helpful. big thanks to "孙志玲(Sun Zhiling)" which super attentive and really take care us even I cant speak chinese as that not the problem for her as she speak english really well, which is nice for smooth communication. therefore, I highly recommended this hotel if you visiting Mt. Huangshan.

Staying at this hotel on Huangshan Mountain was an unforgettable experience. Located at an elevation of around 1800 meters above sea level, reaching the hotel was an adventure in itself. We took a cable car followed by a two-hour scenic hike through the breathtaking mountain trails. Huangshan is famous for its stunning landscapes, with jagged peaks, ancient pine trees, and a mystical sea of clouds—everything here feels like stepping into a traditional Chinese painting. The hotel’s facilities and service went beyond all our expectations. Despite its remote location, everything was thoughtfully arranged, and the staff worked tirelessly to ensure our comfort. The manager, (Miss. Song Shulin) ,in particular, was incredibly attentive, helping us with everything we needed. Their dedication made our stay truly special. Our room was on the fifth floor, and while there was no elevator, the stairs were not difficult to climb. The view from our room was absolutely worth it! From the window, we could see the mountains and dense forest stretching into the horizon, a sight that left us speechless. The room itself was cozy and well-equipped, with cold and hot water working perfectly, making our stay even more comfortable in the chilly weather. The temperature was around -1°C during our visit, but the natural beauty and serene atmosphere more than made up for the cold. Surrounded by pine trees and the crisp mountain air, the location felt like a peaceful retreat far from the bustling world. I cannot recommend this hotel enough to anyone planning a visit to Huangshan Mountain. It’s not just a place to stay but a once-in-a-lifetime experience that combines the magic of nature with warm, heartfelt hospitality. A must-visit!
