Hotels in The Peak Of Mount Huangshan, Huangshan

A much better hotel comparing to BaiYun hotel in terms of the condition of the facilities and rooms. It is just newer, better and serve better FOOD . But since Baiyun is located in the Front Mountain , and Xihai on the back mountain , one would still have to stay at BaiYun if they are planning to climb front mountain , and one have to stay at XiHai if planning to climb Back Mountain. Remember Huangshan is divided into 3 areas , Front , Back and DaXiaGu with 73 peaks in total ! If you dont mind the cost , XIhai hotel is the best hotel if you are climbing the Back Mountains. Note : Huangshan is just too big , you need to see the map and plan properly before attempting ! The photos i posted is the view from the hotel ! Irreplaceable Location: Right near Guangming Peak, it’s the prime spot for sunrise, sunset, and sea of clouds! Watching the sunrise requires no long trek in the morning, saving significant energy. Just a short walk (about 15-20 minutes) from the hotel door gets you to the best viewing point – friendly for families with seniors/children or anyone wanting to avoid exhaustion! Clean & Cozy Rooms: Mountain-top conditions are limited, but the room was exceptionally clean and tidy. The bedding was dry and comfortable (crucial in the humid high altitude!), and being able to take a hot shower and sleep soundly after a day of hiking was pure bliss. Window to a Fairyland: Our room window faced the valley. When mist swirled, it was like a fairyland, on clear days, we could admire the majestic, overlapping mountain peaks. Lying in bed enjoying the mountain views – it's totally worth it! Breakfast: The variety at the mountaintop buffet breakfast was impressive for such a high altitude. Getting a hot, filling breakfast like this at 1,800+ meters to fuel up for the day's adventures was absolutely essential and deeply satisfying! Special praise for Steward Huang(黄星华)! Her service was super warm and attentive, providing loads of practical information from check-in guidance to itinerary suggestions. Upon checkout, she thoughtfully gave us a small gift. While not expensive, this gesture felt incredibly warm and heartfelt.

After walking across the whole mountain, i can safely say shillin had the most convenient location. Super friendly staff and fresh clean rooms. Even provided free utensils such as water and toothbrushes even though this was not promised due to the difficulty in transporting goods to the location. Went up to see the sunrise at the monkey peak which was amazing. Only minus is that the optional dinner was mid for a fairly high price, however this can be overlooked considering the circumstances!

Overall a very nice stay. The location of the hotel is good for a one night stay as it is towards the back. Reached the hotel mid day to check in and unload stuff in our bag so the remainder of the day walk is on a lighter load. The price of the dinner buffet at the hotel is on the higher side compared to the lunch buffet (2 times more). Nor much choice at night given the timing.

The hotel is elegant in style, with coffee machines, massagers, humidifiers, tea bars, beverage counters, delicious pastries and fruits, good floor heating, good insulation and soundproofing, and customized large down jackets. Meals are available in set menus or a la carte, and can be delivered to the room while watching TV series. At night, my legs were sore, so I took a comfortable hot bath in the room, and then used a massager to massage my legs, which made me feel a lot more relaxed. The housekeeper service was meticulous, and made very detailed recommendations and introductions from the recommended routes up and down the mountain, weather conditions, things to bring, to delicious restaurants. The location of the hotel is also great, halfway up the mountain. I went out at 6:20 in the morning and walked for about 20 minutes, and just saw the sunrise 🌅. After breakfast, I checked out and got two small boxes of tea souvenirs. It was a very satisfying accommodation experience, recommended~

The room layout is good and the outside environment is beautiful. The service was considerate, they greeted us from a distance, and quickly contacted the porters and the cable car to the station when we left. The breakfast was unique, the dinner chef was very good, the ingredients were fresh, and the taste was excellent. In short, I was very satisfied with the experience and it is worth coming again. I drink Huangshan tea every day. Maofeng and Houkui are very delicious. The view of the sunset and rising clouds is unforgettable. Very beautiful cliff house, great service, very delicious meals, in short, a very worthwhile living experience in life~

The room is a bit old, which is understandable because it is on the top of a mountain. But the service is very good. The lady is very enthusiastic and answers all your questions. You can watch the sunrise in the room and avoid the cold. If you are naked, you are already invincible.

We have a wonderful stay in Youpinglou in our family trip in this recent June 2025. The hotel and room was very clean, the location is near the cable car station and the ”welcoming pine tree”, the staff was very attentive and informative. In the room they provide heater and to my surprise they provide jacket. This hotel is a good choice to stay in the top of Huangshan mountain. Tips: you can choose a 3 beds room, or a double plus single bed room for family.

The first time I have such a desire to evaluate, the hygiene is really bad! I won't complain about hardware decoration, but the focus is on hygiene! Even in a homestay, shouldn't bedding hygiene be the most basic? The sheets and quilts have hair! It also looks dirty, although there is no smell, but I feel itchy all day long! The air conditioner is leaking and sprays water continuously, like rain, and the toiletries are also very poor. Choose carefully
