The Golden Lion Hotel

Wonderful cozy hotel! Stayed here with my daughter. We had a double room, lovely and warm on a cold day. Had breakfast in restaurant which had a beautiful christmas tree, and buffett type/ cooked breakfast was amazing and set us up for the day! Staff were polite and helpful when i asked for extra pillow it was delivered at my room within minutes. Will certainly book with them again, absolutely loved it!

We went for Sunday lunch in the bar which we had booked a few weeks ago. The roast beef dinner was delicious. We were looked after by Charlie and James who were brilliant, very attentive but not too much. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them. We really enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely return.

This hotel has had a major renovation. The rooms are contemporary and very comfortable. The food is really good, lots of choice and good value. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. Ady, Tash and Vicky really went over and above to make our stay feel more special. We only live 45 minutes away but would definitely stay again for a quick break.

Had heard some positive reviews about this Hotel and as we are often in Hunstanton we thought we would try it out. The Hotel is bright and fresh looking after a significant facelift. Decor is modern and tasteful with a very nice outlook from the main bar which has a partial sea view. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with a nice sea view. Breakfast was pretty decent too. The bar was busy and a little noisy but it added to the atmosphere rather than detracting from the experience, as in the past we have met there for drinks and previously found it rather soulless so the contrast was welcome as the bar now has a lively feel to it and seemed like 'the place to meet'. Staff were excellent, and always greeted us warmly as we came and went. My only small gripe was one of the Barmen who seemed more interested in being the customer side of the bar chatting to friends - appearing either oblivious to or disinterested in customers waiting for a drink. This wasn't a one-off as it happened several times over the course of our stay with the same member of staff, As I say just a small irritation in what was a very good experience. We will certainly be back.

The Golden Lion is a very friendly and comfortable hotel . We stayed one night in room 12 . Very comfortable and great view of the green and sea . The staff are all friendly and always will to have a chat with you , Dani is very friendly. We live in Hunstanton and it’s nice to see the hotel is doing well, the new conservatory is a lovely place to sit and have coffee and cake . I would recommend this hotel . Keep up the good work .
