The hotel does not have a reception so check in takes place at captain’s inn. After checking in your luggage is taken to Turtles inn, a 20 second walk. The room is clean, well maintained and has a nice look to it. Breakfast this trip is at Ali Pasja hotel because the restaurant you normally get breakfast at is being renovated. Normally breakfast is at the Marina Steakhouse restaurant. There you have a great buffet with plenty of choices of really good quality food. And you can eat your breakfast sitting in the sun while having a great view of the beautiful marina. The hotel is directly situated at the marina so you enjoy all the restaurants directly at your door step. The hotel never feels busy and whilst it is directly at the marina you don’t notice any of the lifelines going on at night. For me it is the go to place when visiting el Gouna. Also because the divecentre I dive with is located in the same building as the hotel.

A simple, but very clean and welcoming hotel. Nothing fancy, the rooms are on the small side, but well equipped with hot drinks and a TV. Towels are changed as often as you wish, and fresh bottled water is supplied each day. The rooms have a mini bar, and the air con is efficient, if not a little loud. All in all, a very pleasant place to stay. Checking in, beach towels and checking out are all done at the Captain`s Inn, a 30 second walk away. I would certainly use this hotel again.

I really liked this hotel. Nice, cozy and clean. The staff is super friendly and I felt very much at home. Walking outside during the day and in the evenings was very relaxing. Nobody bothered me as a woman alone. Many restaurants at the marina and all very welcoming. Good and big breakfast at the Captain’s Inn next door. A very good experience!

The staff are very helpful and the room is amazing with the best view. Also the location is really good. The only problem is that they don’t have the pool and the beach in the same place either than that no complaints at all. The breakfast was delicious.

Breakfast is good. Stuff are respectful. The rooms are small yet the mood is cozy and comfy. Enjoyed the stay. Recommended if you’re looking for an accommodation 2 mins walk from the marine and if you are not seeking a luxurious but more of an authentic place.
