TIA Heights Makadi Bay Hurghada

Update in february 2025:hotel is completely renovated,according to local workers it should be finished in 1-1,5year so like summer 2026 and it should belong under xanadu so lets see if it will be really so,the prices of xanadu are much more higher than princess Tie Heights hotel prices previously...

A sad story for a once beautiful resort. Everything is old, outdated, not working, broken, dirty beyond cleaning (silicone in the bathrooms, for example). The food is rather limited to stew like dishes, vegetables and salad ok, but although you could find 18 (eighteen!!!!) bottles of vinegar, there was absolutely none, ZERO!!! of oil. When I asked for oil, I was brought a really small ammount of sunflower oil, no way they had any olive oil. The glasses were invariably 100 ml cheap plastic glasses, even when you were served beer. The huge reception space has no AC and when the kitchen has barbeque on offer the smoke finds its wat to fill the two story space.

so i have just come back from Tia Heights, after visiting a few years ago pre covid and reading the reviews i was a bit hesitant, however the hotel was fine, rooms i booked the aqua room but was upgraded to the main hotel which was fabulous, yes there were a coupe of issues, but maintenance was there straight away and rectified them, certainly didnt ruin my holiday was just a couple of issues. If you are expecting a 5 star hilton experience then no it isnt that, but after travelling many places , i would say its a 3 star to 4 star equivalent uk. public areas were kept clean and tidy, all pools were sparkling clear water, the beach is also fabulous. a quick mention to Waileel (not sure on spelling) at the beach bar and where you get the burgers from at lunch, he is incredible, so friendly, always remembered our drinks, wine sprite and ice mix and beer with ice lol, an absolute credit to the hotel Also Samir in the main restaurant he was outstanding, always on hand to help out and help with a nice table and drinks, look out for him when you go We went for a week and had the best time, will definitely be back probably in june, we stayed room 3078 and was at the back so quiet, but there are some lovely big rooms also there with huge balconies, that look incredible go expecting a good uk 3 /4 star and you will have a fabulous time, its mainly russians at the hotel, we will be back soon, thank you for an amazing stay

Nice location with a very bad management. Ex. Le Meridien , now is down. Bad food , same every day , poor and bad quality. Drinks bad and always finish before time, warm , no ice , no beer, glasses plastic cca 100 ml for beer. Exept room there is no air conditioning , not even in hall of reception or Restaurant. Service low , employs sad only looking for tips . The only thing good at this hotel is the beach , with sand and slow entrance in water. Makadi golf is nice! Furniture and electrodimestics are very old and bad shape. What to tell you , i made a mistake to take this offer, i do not recomand !

Hi everyone. Everything what I wrote it's only opinion of our family. We went in January and the price of our travel of course was very small because not season. At first we bought the travel and only after we red reviews :))) When we red we was so scared that we wanted to cancel the travel. But the sun and warm we needed more and came to TIA. So we found that many things that we red about this hotel was true. But we came for good weather and we got it. The territory not perfect but not bad. One swimming pool for children was warm. Aqua park was spooky with cold water. Main swimming pool also cold. But... Near is luxurious hotels and there was not so fine beaches like in TIA. Beach of TIA best (maybe) in Egypt with clear see (see water +24 in January!) and soft sand (only bad thing that in sand many cigarette-butts). Also who like to snorkeling is good place. In the territory many buildings repairs. The rooms also not perfect but for Egypt is ok. Our bad was very big but scrape. And behind the wall I think that neighbours had same problem because wall is thick. About the meal - breakfast is poor but for us was enough. All another meal was perfect. Sometimes was no glass or spoons. Almost all glass is from plastic (like from trash) and sometimes holey. Most disgusting accident was when we came first time to eat and took water and juice from juice machine - in my opinion there was water straight from faucet (with something like chlorine smell) and also juice was mixed with that water. Later we did not try anymore juice from this machine. The cook who make an eggs was very funny and cool. All another cooks who gave the meal not so perfect. Sometimes was feeling that they wanted that guests need to "jump around" for meal peace and giving all meal for guests with shacking hand. Also in the beach bar you can find (from 13-15) fast food. The beach bar barmen best guy of all the TIA staff - always smiling. Best wishes for him. All another staff plus minus is good except few - one of them is very disgusting waiter (grey hairs and grey moustache). For each guest who have birthday they doing nice small show and giving the cake. A la carte restaurants is good. Maybe in Egyptian restaurant was little-bit too cold and windy. The gym is good. Only running machines not working (or can be that working just for guests from Germany :))) ) But there is perfect eclipse machines. Russians... Yes, here you will find them in big quantity. Important thing that about 70-80% of guests is from Russia (and I thing from deep Russia). You should prepare to see everyday strange things. The barmen showed to me more than 40 empty bottles of strong drinks (per 4 hours from 10 o'clock of morning)... One russian mummy said to her son "go, piss on the palm" The toilet was 20 meter of them. Just mum was too tired to stand up. Sometimes the staff was angry on them because they tried to eat and drink everything what they see and of course half of meal they just left on th
