Mr & MRS Smith Hurley House Hotel

We visited HHH last weekend, as a family of 15, after an emotional, final goodbye to the matriarch of our family. We started with drinks outside in the sun; the outside space is utterly glorious. We then came inside for a long and I admit, rather loud lunch. We were a bit giddy with relief and boy did we eat & drink. The wonderful staff (as always) looked after us with 24/7 attention and always with enthusiasm and a smile. The food was outstanding (we had 2 chefs and 1 could-be chef - all impressed). This day will go down as one of our core memories. Thank you HHH for making so special. PS returned for Sunday lunch 2 days later and another great meal. Book it gets busy.

So I can only say thank you for an amazing lunch outside on the terrace/garden. Impeccably polite and efficient service, incredible menu covering Japanese, Sunday roast, Pizza, Pasta and standard fare. The pictures say it all with a perfect medium rare T bone. We stayed 1.30 to 5.15 pm and never felt rushed. Just the most delightful afternoon which I cant wait to repeat, Thank you. Should also mention the hotel and facilities are immaculate.

The Hurley House is definitely the nicest boutique hotel we've ever stayed in in the UK. The room was gorgeous with all the amenities - see the website. Our dinner was excellent the Nigiri starter and the Turkey Wellington delicious. To end with a wonderful Tiramisu. The staff are so attentive and truly can't do enough. This hotel is on the main rod to Henley and a short distance from both the M40 and M4 motorways and if you want a great night away experience then look no further.

Wonderful Christmas event in the Pavilion at Hurley House - joyful choir singing festive favourites, special Champagne and sweet treats, and perfect service, as ever. The Pavilion was beautifully decorated for Christmas and felt very festive.

We were delighted with our stay at the Hurley House. Five star review all round. Everything was spot on from check in to check out. Thank you for making it a memorable stay. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I have just read the response to our review of Hurley House given we were entirely unimpressed with the behaviour of the bar staff and find it in keeping with exactly what was posted in the 'Fawlty Towers' review we made earlier. The managements' rebuttal is complete fiction and is in no way and accurate reflection on events that afternoon. My wife and are are well know within the Marlow community and anyone that knows us could not fathom us 'yelling' at anyone let alone being rude. The barmaid did indeed drop the tip intended for her on the table; it was no accident. I could in no way point out anyone's 'thick' accent as suggested as that would also be rude. There was no swearing; I am 57 and my wife is 63. People of our maturity just don't act like that described!! I would dearly love to see the CCTV footage showing me 'throwing coins back at her'! Hurley House can't produce it because it is a complete fabrication and would result in grounds for assault. If Hurley House deemed it not important what car we left in (my mistake, forgot we were in the X5!) then why mention it in a rebuttal. The only hateful actions that day were the reserve of Hurley House staff, not my wife or I. We stand entirely behind our review and gladly grant Hurley House their wish that we never return. Removing posts from Trip Advisor just isn't going to happen. What would be the point of the platform if that was the case!!! We are by the way not the only people to leave a review that the management at Hurley House might take exception with.
