Little Green Bay

My husband and I just enjoyed a memorable stay at Little Green Bay! From the idyllic setting, and well designed rooms fitting the landscape, to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, our expectations were exceeded! The outdoor massage was incredible, the sunsets amazing, and it was easy to pop into Hvar center for dinner, while having a relaxing haven as your home base. We can't wait to go back!

A fantastic, romantic, cosy, bubbly retreat. A private bay, away from it all, with the clearest water and wonderful service. No pool, but enough to do (kayak, swimming, sup) in the bay. So beautiful that we had 3 days of rest at the hotel, looking at the view from all angles and during all times of the day. We (parents, big daughter) loved it and will most certainly return. The food is so good, the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Good advice on where to go, they arrange guides and restaurants and everything. We stayed for a week and could easily have stayed longer.

Stellar experience at this exceptional resort. Little Green Bay far exceeded our expectations. The small resort is the perfect place for couples looking for a relaxed and quiet environment in Hvar, a short 15 minute taxi to Hvar town (€30 each way) and a complimentary one way each night at 7pm. The entire staff was friendly and ensured each guest was comfortable. None of the guests had children, though you could bring kids I think this resort would be more fitting for couples and people with older children (15+). Namanya, the Manager and Marta, really stood out to make sure our experience was perfect. The entire staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had the Cozy room and found it to be perfectly sized. The Breakfast was awesome, we enjoyed the lunch and bar service. Each morning the ground staff prepares the resort, raking the rocks like a Japanese garden and setting the beach chairs for the perfect day of quiet lounging. The rooms were clean and smelled incredible. We would certainly come back to Little Green Bay and recommend this to our friends and family.

We have just spent 10 days at the LGB (Little Green Bay) on a family holiday - six of us 4 kids from 14 to 21. This is a magical place. The location is amazing - the bay is incredible easily the most beautiful beach and water we experienced in Croatia. The best thing about the LGB is the people. Everyone from the owner to the folk who clean the beach every morning are really warm and attentive and make your stay an extraordinary experience- the food is simple but stunning. If you want something unique and beautiful you will love the LGB couldn’t recommend more.

A 3-year delayed visit to LGB due to COVID finally happened for us. It was well worth the wait! The hotel is perfectly quaint and small. The bay is more beautiful than the pictures show. Comfort at the beach is exceptional. Loungers, umbrellas, paddle boards, kayaks, floaties - my son even tried out the sail-foil! The food is exceptional. The included breakfast is a dream. The free shuttle into town every night is a nice perk. Marta and Nemanja are the perfect hosts and get anything done for you. Relja in the restaurant is the best waiter! Highly, highly recommend!

Where to start. A ‘new team’ are running this hotel now and it’s a shambles. From little things that you try and shrug off so as to not have your holiday ruined to major issues that are unforgettable. The manager is horrendously rude, he belittles guests and mutters swear words under his breath as he walks away from you (his fellow staff members even admit he has an anger management problem!). Make a complaint to him at your own risk. Minor quibbles: - there is now only ONE shuttle running into Hvar town daily, it’s at 7pm…no return shuttle, leaving you stranded and forced to pay a flat rate of 30 euros to get back to the hotel. - there was always a comedy of errors at breakfast. For example, being the only table in the restaurant and asking for egg white omelette with no cheese and with peppers. Normal omelette comes with cheese and mushrooms? Okay no worries mistakes happen..so they try again…next omelette comes..egg white but with cheese and onions? So you end up giving up and just eating what you’re given. Ask for a scrambled egg and bacon..get an eggs Benedict. Order a bottle of red wine, it comes in an ice bucket. Not the end of the world but at 700-800 euros a night!? - the hotel is also nestled between private properties/holiday homes which doesn’t sound like a problem until it’s 11pm and all you can hear is the sound of a football being banged against walls instead of hearing the ocean. A football even came flying onto the straw roof of the outdoor restaurant one night. Major issues: - the ‘private’ bay is stunning but anything but private…especially at weekends. At one point I counted 12 hotel guests vs 25 locals/non-hotel guests lying next to and directly in front of the hotel sun-beds. They even use hotel equipment such as the paddle boards, hotel staff couldn’t care less. Non hotel guests aren’t allowed to dine in the restaurant…but they are allowed into the restaurant to use the toilet? They are also allowed to roam the hotel property (as are the people staying in the surrounding holiday homes). Lock your doors!! Pictures speak a thousand words so see ones that I’ve attached to this review showing the non-hotel guests (lying/standing on the beach) and the location of the hotel beds. Decide for yourself is this is what you would class as ‘private’…which is what the hotel advertises on its website. You will sit on the sun-beds feeling like a fool at what you are paying vs what people are getting for free. - now the major issue with this hotel, the manager…I just have no words to describe how rude this ‘gentleman’ is. We observed him having multiple heated conversations with guests throughout our 5 day stay including run ins ourselves. An example, we booked a private boat excursion directly via the hotel’s concierge. At no point we’re we told that this wasn’t just being added to our hotel bill and that we were to pay the boat company on the day of the trip..okay not the end of the world since we took a credit card.
