The Ármót guesthouse was fantastic. Self check in was a breeze. The room was clean and inviting. The more were washrooms on every floor and ours was huge and had a lovely shower. Small extras like chocolate in the room and a welcome note were appreciated. There was a sitting area with complimentary tea and coffee the room had tables, leather chairs and great views on three sides from large windows. You got the sense that you were being g welcomed into the family and encouraged to relax. In the morning, the complimentary breakfast was lovely. Fresh brewed coffee, yogurt, toast vegetables cheese and meat were on offer. Toast and waffles were available and the room was well appointed and bright. Checkout was as easy as walking out the front door. Would be back in a heartbeat and highly recommend.

Peacefull, safe and quiet place. Everything included. Great for seeing Northern lights (aurora). Lots of trails around and even more if you have a wehicle. Best countryside experience in Iceland. We will return for more. (If they want us).

I’m surprised by all the positive reviews. It was ok. It was clean and spacious but that’s about it. The location isn’t great. They weren’t doing breakfast while we were there and nowhere opens until lunch- so buy groceries! The bed was so insanely hard- I had back pain for days following our stay. The pillow was paper thin. I think the reviews were misleading and I expected more than we got…

The room was fantastic and also the self check is was a good thing. Two things I didn’t like: we had a baby and they didn’t give us towel for her, and there was none to ask. Also the breakfast at 8.00? It’s really too late, for us and the kid. We had to go to the airport and we left without it. So for us it wasn’t worthy of the price.

I had a fantastic stay at this property! The place was spotless and incredibly cozy. Bed is comfy, surroundings are beautiful, bathroom is well-equipped, breakfast is delicious, the host is very hospitable. Exceeded my expectations, highly recommend and would love to stay again!

Armot Guesthouse is a truly delightful place to stay - we would have loved to have been able to stay longer. The room was warm and d cosy and everything was beautifully presented - the beds were probably the most comfortable we have experienced on our travels. Highlights were the farm setting, the horses and the upstairs sitting room where we relaxed, listened to music, enjoyed the complimentary tea & coffee and chatted with other guests. A really good breakfast to send us on our way.

My experience at Ármót was amazing! Situated in the middle of the countryside, there were beautiful horses that greeted me. The guesthouse was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious and the lounge area was very cozy. 10/10 recommend!
