I couldn’t put into words the true nature of our experience at Mandraki. The hotel, its owners, and various employees couldn’t have been kinder, and it started to feel like a home away from home. The exquisite natural beach, the rocks, the jaw dropping sunsets, and our breakfasts and dinners along the water with the water lapping at our feet will have a place in my mind forever. I couldn’t recommend it enough. The comfort of the rooms, the delicious private pools, the muted colors all set against the rocky setting of Hydra: its sprawling skies, untouched beauty, and rugged Odyssean waters all combine to make this place special and irreplaceable. Thank you Mandraki, we will be back!

This is a little piece of heaven. Small, boutique and very welcoming. The food was very good and the sheltered beds sit right in the tiny cove with the crystal water lapping at your toes. The dining area is the best appointed sunset viewing station ever.

The Mandraki beach resort is a really outstanding place in the beautiful island of Hydra. The beach is one of the only sand beaches on the island. The water is shallow and warm, very good for children which are learning to swim accompanied by their parents. Since the Mandraki Beach Resort has a new chef in the kitchen last year, the food is outstanding, especially the creation of the sauces which go along with the delicious fish dishes are of the best I ever have tasted. Like in Paris. The new chef knows exactly how to make the guests for lunch and dinner happy, the service and all the other members of the staff are so nice and friendly, like we know it since many years for the Greek hospitality. It’s a place which is not too cheap, but it’s every single penny worth it. I wish you all the best and we definitely come back next year again as we used to do since some years in a row now.

This 17 room hotel is just easy and perfect. Welcomed by the owners. Quiet, unpretentious, delicious food, easy private hotel water taxi to town, great little town that oozes charm. Highly recommended! I look forward to going again and appreciate the hospitality!

With Hydra being a quiet island there were not many cruise ship excursions so we found this awesome beach resort option. Sun chairs/umbrellas in a beautiful quiet cove. Sandy beach, beautiful waters. Super clean and very friendly staff. Resort water shuttle from the port made it very convenient. Highly recommend!

We spent a week at Mandraki and had the most amazing time. Location is idyllic being within walking distance of Hydra or a short boat ride away, organised by Mandraki. The staff were professional and friendly at all times and really looked after us. Aurthur, the owner, met us from the ferry and made a point of chatting to the guests and making us feel welcome. The chef was outstanding, offering a fabulous breakfast menu and dinner was probably the best meal we had during out stay. The yearly art show was being set up during out stay by the very talented Wilhelmina, with some outstanding pieces. We were sad to leave but feel sure we will be returning!

I am what one may call a Greek fanatic. I have been coming to Greece for years, tried many high end hotels, but The Mandraki is the perfect spot to relax, cast all your stress away. It’s located in Hydra. If, like me, you enjoy daily boat rides, know you need a shuttle to access the hotel in only 10 minutes. Upon arrival, you will be shown to your room, the majority of which open directly onto one of the cleanest private sandy beaches I have experienced. Luxury hides in the details. The hotel was designed with great taste, in accordance with today’s luxury standards (but not an in-the-nose luxury) and with the history of the site, which is a former naval base. It’s feels like you are on a typical Greek harbor, though enjoying the peace and quiet of a 30 suites + facility. Very authentic and chic! Last but not least, art lovers will be pleased to know that one space was turned into a must-see art gallery. I wish I had come when there is yoga classes. It was too early in the season unfortunately. I will have to return! :) Thanks for everything! Shout out to Arthur, Wilhelmina, Alex, Chloe and Eirini who took great care of me! Sarah Belmont
