Hotel Boutique Ananas

The experience was a huge disappointment. We arrived at the hotel on 04/08/2024, for a period of 4 nights. At reception, there was a first discomfort: there was a strong smell of damp. We checked in, paid for the 4 nights and were shown to our room. The accommodation, which was next to the reception, was very close to the entrance and there was a lot of noise from cars. As the attendant told us that there were only us in the hotel, we asked to change rooms to a quieter one. He presented us with two options: one that had the same strong damp smell as the reception and another, which was ok and was our choice. The towels and bed linen did not smell good. This bothered us. The next morning, at the cafe, another disappointment: food that had clearly been served for days, cheese bread that looked reheated, cold cuts that looked strange, dry cakes. We opted for tapioca, which seemed like the freshest option, as it was made fresh. After a day at the beach, we tried to contact reception via the room phone, which wasn't working. Until then, the hotel that calls itself a “boutique” was a top-notch experience for us. Things went wrong when we had to leave the hotel early due to an unforeseen event. The employees clearly started misinformation and created all kinds of difficulties for refunds. We spoke to the morning attendant, who said that the evening one would solve it. When we went to talk to the night guy, he said that only the morning guy could solve it. Upon leaving, the attendant told us that booking would be responsible for the refund, because the reservation was made there. I disputed this information, because we paid directly to the hotel, but she insisted. Unconvinced, I contacted Booking directly and the platform's attendant was categorical: the refund should be made by the hotel! I confronted the receptionist who started to disagree and only refunded us the amount - with a fee discount - when she realized that we wouldn't leave without resolving the situation. This entire process took almost 2 hours to resolve. We left there feeling like we had been misled since booking. Unfortunate.

Promptness and proactivity!! Very polite and helpful staff When you need something they go above and beyond. Location with very beautiful views of the canal and the continent. Very good infrastructure. Great location. The restaurant is pleasant and has a good menu. Have a nice breakfast. The only point that could be improved are the breakfast hours, which start at 7:30 am and could be earlier, and the restaurant lunch hours, which start at 3 pm. I come from a terrible experience in Curacao and I say that I am proud of what I found it here. To all the employees, I would like to thank you very much for what you did for us!!

Beautiful inn with a stunning view from the room and from all parts of the inn, in the afternoon we witnessed a beautiful sunset. The room was very cozy and clean, a very good shower with lots of water, fragrant and soft towels. The breakfast was simple but delicious. It met our expectations, we loved our choice on a beautiful island, I just won't say I'll go back because I hated the blackflies that are all over the island and there's no point in using repellent.

In general, the place is beautiful, pleasant and pet friendly! The location is between south and north, but the best beaches are in the north! As far as I understand, all accommodations have views of the São Sebastião canal. The bonus of hosting is at least 40 blackfly bites even when using repellent. *The pool is small and the saunas did not appear to be working. *Shower is difficult to adjust the temperature. *Unstable Wi-Fi. * 300 TV channels and only 5 work. * Air conditioning in the rooms need urgent cleaning, they are filthy! *The bed is very comfortable! *Breakfast included is delicious but does not vary throughout the day. *During the stay, until Thursday, bed and bath linen were not changed and the restaurant remained closed. Note: Work in the pool area caused great discomfort, due to the noise and because of a “big-headed” bricklayer assistant, who could not see a woman in the pool.

The hotel is in a location surrounded by forest, very quiet. Ideal for those looking for tranquility. The rooms and common areas have sea views. The hotel restaurant is excellent. Pets accepted.
