This is a very reliable, clean and modern hotel. It offers everything you need and nothing you don’t, very appropriately - Japanese style. We stayed here twice during a cycling trip in Japan. They are extremely bike-friendly, allowing the bike in the rooms (all seem to equipped with wall mounts). Breakfast is decent but a bit crowded and picked through, so we skipped it on the second visit. There is a Lawsons right outside that offers all the snacks, prepared foods and drinks you could want. And it’s right next to the train station and the Giant bike store (sales and rentals). IMABARI is nothing special but it’s a great starting or ending point for the cycling or bike packing in the surrounding islands. The amenities are sufficient, especially for the price. Well worth it and I definitely recommend this hotel as a comfortable place to hang your hat (and bike) for the night.

Lovely pleasant hotel very close to Imabari station & Shimanami Bike rental. Comfortable accommodation & good amenities plus complimentary drink & coffee machine. BUT the ROOM Sensors lights to toilet is a real nuisance. Wakes others when you go to the toilet. Wish we could turn that off when not required.

Their hospitality was so good as usual in Japan. They served free alcohol in evening and we could bring own food.

The JR Clement Inn is next door to the train station which is very nice if you're in town due to the Shimanami Kaido trail. Given the price point of the hotel, it delivers. They offered free drinks in the evening, including sake, and while we did not have their breakfast buffet, it appeared to be very good. Rooms were clean and spacious and location is very tough to beat.
