The breakfast and dinner included in the room were sumptuous. Sauna facility (at costs) is definitely a great experience

The buffet breakfast has a variety of styles, including my favorite salmon, beans with tomato sauce and wheat bran. There is also a self-service waffles machine that allows guests to make their own waffles🧇, which is hot and very good. taste! The hotel is on the side of the River Juutua. You can see the beautiful scenery of the river from the restaurant and the room, which is a first-class experience! The front desk staff were happy to answer our questions, and some of them even smiled! The waiters and food in the hotel restaurant (Aanaar) are up to the level of a 5-star hotel. When the food is served, each dish will be explained, what its main dish, side dishes and sauce are! The biggest pity is that the thermostat does not produce warm air. Fortunately, the weather is not too cold. There is a heat pipe for drying clothes in the bathroom, so wet clothes can be dried quickly!

In the restaurant, it would be desirable if the staff knew even a little Finnish, since we are in Finland. The staff was wonderfully friendly and the restaurant was high-quality. The room was new, clean, small and the ventilation was bad (hot), I had to open the window. Some kind of level for the head of the bed would be good

This was an unforgettable way to spend Christmas. The location is stunning, so peaceful and really magical. The activities are outstanding, my favourite was the 4 hour snowmobile trip on Christmas Day, my husband loved “mushing the huskies” We were fortunate to see the Northern lights twice and on our doorstep, this was the icing on the cake. The hotel is small with friendly and helpful staff. The food was in the main excellent but if you prefer a choice of meal then this is not for you as the evening meal is a “set” meal. We had booked a suite with sauna but there is no part of this room that could be called a suite, it is tiny, just big enough for the bed, one bedside table and one chair in the room. The bathroom was quite dated and I had to complain about the mold on the shower walls which they did try to clean. We found the cleaning to be the weak spot in an otherwise perfect holiday, the table in the room wasn’t wiped, the tea, coffee and milk sachets were not replaced and really in a suite you’d expect a nespresso machine these days. Like a lot of activity holidays, you are only as good as your staff and with one exception, the guides are super friendly, knowledgeable and want to make your holiday the best it can be. I would absolutely recommend this hotel but not the suite, book a wilderness room as not only are they are bigger they are less expensive!

What an amazing environment. I've never experienced anything like it; living in constant darkness is very strange , but you adapt to it very quickly. This establishment is only a 10 min walk to Lake Inari. Here you have the chance to enjoy the Northern lights. You can also take a short walk from the hotel to an alternative viewing space - cross the road opposite the hotel, there you'll find a set of wooden stairs leading to a top of a hill. The Sami Parliament and Museum are also only a short walk from the hotel and well worth a visit. The accommodation is basic, quite small, but clean and adequate. The rooms were warm and the bed was comfy. We had a sauna in our room which I strongly recommend. The food is excellent with a variety of food to choose from during the breakfast and lunch buffets. Food is largely traditional Finnish dishes. Evening meals are served at set times which you are allocated upon arrival. This is a three course meal at night which featured quality product and introduced you to a variety of Finnish flavours. Drinks are charged during dinner, but water is free. There are juice and hot drinks available free of charge at breakfast and lunch. All the staff are very friendly and obliging. The guides are knowledgeable and are happy to answer any questions you may have. We learnt a lot about the country from them. We found Jakob and Sebastien to be particularly excellent. This hotel appears to have no/limited disability awareness. E.g. to access the lobby this can only be done by climbing stairs and the activities do not appear to be adapted. Extra activities can be booked on site should you feel the need to do so, but they do appear to fill up quickly, and activity slots can change. It is worth noting that the Wilderness Juutua Hotel and the Inari Wilderness Hotel are only a few miles apart. The former is very intimate and the latter carters for families. If it is a child free break filled with adventure you are seeking, this hotel is perfect.

The most beautiful setting for a White Christmas stay! The dining room, lounge and bar are all comfortable and nicely decorated with a Scandi feel. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The spa and sauna are great. The lighting in the rooms could be better it was dark most of the time and it was difficult to see properly in our room. Beds are super-comfy and you feel cosy everywhere in the hotel despite the freezing temperatures outside. The guides we had were all good and our experiences with the reindeer, huskies, snowmobiling and snow-shoeing were all fantastic.

Brilliant location. Staff at hotel really helpful. Rooms slightly on the small side but adequate. Not loads of hangers and would benefit from more hooks. Activities arranged and run by the hotel were first class. We were in hotel for only 4 nights and managed to fit in the reindeer farm, snow mobiles, walking (snowshoeing) and husky sledging. Everything brilliantly organised and the team were informative, fun and always smiling. Special shout out to Annie (BBC star) who was a joy to be with on two of our excursions. Missed the northern lights on the official tour but picked up a few from within hotel grounds Highly recommended 🥂
