"This place is cleaner than a hospital. There is excellent service and hospitality every moment. The rooms are lovely and spacious. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and Herr Werner is a very engaging person. This is excellent value for money and they also do a few Buendner dishes in the evening, which by the way are excellent, in case you want to stay in."

"Was very good, we came here in winter 2022 and it was very very cold, I would advise bringing thick winter kits if you would like to leave your room and explore the snowy heaven outside, during night time, you could see the entire Milky Way galaxy and andromeda was also visible, very good place for astronomy lovers. It is like a completely different planet during the night time, the staff were very kind people too who welcomed us. This place has a beautiful view, the restaurant here had a view of the mountains. It feels amazing being here, a town you should visit when leaving the hotel is Saint Moritz, we went there many times and loved it."

"Had a lovely dinner where the restaurant is quaint and the service was very nice even though we arrived rather late in the service. Very Swiss as it was not noisy at all and very respectful. Clean room and bed had sheets folded in a heart and room was perfect. Breakfast buffet was lovely with a lot of homemade food and all self-service. Would recommend."

Management then immediately wanted to know which employee had said this instead of addressing the problem) --> Management is unfriendly; excuses are offered instead of addressing problems and finding solutions --> Management blames the problem on the customer instead of solving it (Hard mattresses are hard because we are "normal-weight people." And the Meisser Lodge only has overweight customers who need such hard mattresses...) --> Luggage is neither collected nor carried to the room --> Customers are not greeted (Staff speaks no German, only English) - Food (below average) -------------------------------------------------- --> Ham at breakfast was hard --> Tea box at breakfast was half empty (not refilled) --> Food ordered for the room: - No call was made to say the food was ready, despite being communicated by staff - Food was cold - Food received without cutlery (cutlery only provided after asking) - Food was extremely overpriced (soup, steak tartare, capuns approx. 70 CHF), and you're still hungry afterwards because the portions are small - Room (below average) -------------------------------------------------- --> Room (part of the room is low (less than 190 cm)) --> Extremely hard mattress, sleeping is almost impossible (problem is known but not resolved) --> Deceptions - Room not as described online (photos are incorrect) - Old bathroom (1960s/70s) instead of a new, modern one"

"The hotel sits in the old part of Scuol in an ancient building and this is a nice thing. However the restructuring of the interior spaces made the structure quite anonymous. In spite of the restructuring process no elevator has been built as well as no air conditioning system: Scuol is 1200 meters high, not 1400 as the person at the reception told us, and the meter on the window of our room marked a 39.2 C as maximal temperature reached during our stay. This is hardly acceptable in a 4 star hotels that charged 760 CHF for a small double room for 2 nights. Such an hotel should have at least a nice swimming pool. In reality the pool is available but is a public pool where the number of people present and the round shape of the two main pools render swimming all but impossible. Last but not least: the pool can be reached after a 500-600 meter (and 85 steps) walk. On the positive side, the quality of some of the breakfast food (smoked saibling, cheeses) was good."

"Very clean and high quality hotel, staff is very friendly. Food is quite good, we mostly dined at La Miranda. I'd say that half board is worth it. Free e-bikes are great. That's said, staff is quite unprofessional and doesn't fit the "Luxury hotel" description. Multiple cases that something was forgotten (water ordered to the room, car parked) or mistaken (wrong order at breakfast multiple times). Also seems there is little to no communication between staff members, despite low number of guests (which should make it a bit easier to remember who is who). Also "included dinner" and "afternoon snacks" doesn't include anything to drink, not even water. While it's not expensive (I think 11 CHF for water), it's a bit disappointing and discouraged me from exploring other options."

"Wooooow!!! We spent wonderful days at Altana Hotel in Scuol. Good position near to the train station, cable car and city center. Staff was incredibly kind and attentive. The rich breakfast was optimal to start the hiking day in the Swiss Alps."

"I stayed at this hotel for several days. The property is pleasant and reasonably priced in relation to the quality it offers. Regrettably, the experience concluded on a very negative note. After I had checked out and fully settled my bill, the hotel contacted me requesting payment for a dinner that I did not consume. I was sent an invoice without a signature or any supporting evidence linking the charge to me. No apology was offered, instead, I was informed that an internal investigation would be conducted. In addition, I felt that some members of the staff were less attentive to English-speaking guests and appeared to give preference to German-speaking customers. This further contributed to my dissatisfaction. Overall, this situation has left me disappointed and concerned about the hotel’s customer service and billing practices, and it has significantly affected my overall perception of the hotel."
