"The boss is so nice! As soon as we arrived, he upgraded us to the highest-class mountain view king-size bed room for free without saying anything. The big window allows you to see Tianmen Mountain and the cableway coming and going. All the equipment and appliances in the room are the best, including hair dryer, sink, toilet heater, kettle... The layout of the room also took a lot of thought. The corners of the table are covered with soft edges, and there is a small bar by the window where you can drink tea and eat while looking at the mountain. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and there is also a dressing table with a rotating mirror.
When the boss heard that we wanted to go to Tianmen Mountain, he kindly told us the route. You can also wash and hang clothes for free on the top floor. Free luggage storage, and when we left, he recommended us to eat and drink on the seventh floor of 72. This trip was comfortable and fun! This is the most comfortable and thoughtful hotel we have ever stayed in."

The boss is very enthusiastic, because I need three days and two checks to enter the scenic spot. GGuest UserThis family-owned hotel was perfect! When I arrived, my room got upgraded for free on the 5th floor. The room was really nice, clean and quiet. Just know that there are no lift, but I was helped with my suitcase.
The location is super convenient: around 10 minutes walk from the East entrance of the famous Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan park, 10 minutes walk from the bus station (very useful!) and 30 minutes walk from what seems to be the area’s downtown, but the street next to the hotel’s has plenty of restaurants and even a night market, which is enough.
However, what I will remember most is the owner’s kindness. She made sure that I didn’t lack anything. For example, I asked if there was a microwave and even though she didn’t have one, she said she could go to a friend’s house to use theirs. Furthermore, she helped me plan my hike to Wulingyuan even though it was late at night (I’m sorry!) and even though some important paths were closed (which needed a major rerouting from the usual suggested itinerary). It was also very detailed and precise, the owner was kind enough to patiently give me all of the explanations needed and to answer to all of my questions.
I was also given a free map and unlimited water bottles. The owner even offered me one when I was checking out but I didn’t dare accept it🤭
PS: A tip for fellow travellers: the first bus going to the South entrance doesn’t leave at exactly 6:30 am. The bus station itself opens at 6:40 am ish🚌🚐

GGuest UserThis is a great hotel/resort. We were welcomed by Rain, who spoke English, and showed us our very big room/apartment. The Inn is located in the middle of nature so of course there were some insects, but a surprisingly small amount inside the room. They provided a insect mosquito net upon request. Most of all, the location provided great views and a stunning sunset.
All staff is very kind and caring. Especially Rain, who catered to our every need and drove us to the National Forest Park every day. And special thumbs up to the restaurant staff who made fresh food for breakfast and diner! 🙏🏽
It was rainy weather during our stay so one morning we joined the activity hosted at the reception. We handmade a cute souvenir and said hi to the lovely furry friends.
TLDR: we had a great stay and would definitely recommend No. 5 Vally Inn!

在在书店做菜肴的荷花This is an extension of my previous review. We had such a pleasant time that we extended our stay at Spring Inn.
Spring Inn is very close to 72 wonder tower (七十二奇楼). The tower is walkable, about 10 mins walk. It is also a 6 to 7 min Didi ride to Zhangjiajie West railway, where the high speed trains depart. We took the high speed train to Fenghuang Ancient Town from Zhangjiajie West Station. It is about 50 to 65 mins train ride.
Spring Inn is also close to Tianmen Mountain. It was a 10 to 15 min Didi ride.
I find Spring Inn's location great as a springboard to explore Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie City, and the Furong and Fenghuang ancient towns (via high speed trains).

GGuest UserThe location of this inn is absolutely unbeatable! It’s just steps away from Xibu Street, which makes it super convenient to go out for food and drinks in the evening. The Forest Park’s main gate is only a few minutes’ drive away, which saved us a lot of travel time—perfect for exploring Zhangjiajie with ease.
What really stood out was the service here. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful. They not only gave us detailed suggestions for sightseeing routes but also helped us book discounted attraction tickets. Whenever we had questions while in the park, we could always reach out to Xiao Du! That kind of thoughtful, concierge-like service made our whole trip relaxing and stress-free—no need to worry about planning or potential pitfalls.
Even though the inn is located in a busy area, it’s quiet and comfortable inside, with uniquely decorated exotic vibes. They also offer complimentary parking and laundry/dryer services, which is super convenient for those driving or needing fresh clothes after long days of touring.

GGuest UserDuring my recent trip to Zhangjiajie, I stayed at this hotel that truly exceeded my expectations. I arrived late at night without having booked any tickets for my visits, and as a solo traveler, I was a little anxious about how I’d manage everything. To my relief, the family who runs this, went above and beyond to make my stay smooth and memorable.
From the very beginning, their support was incredible. They personally helped me arrange tickets for Tianmen Mountain early the next morning, and carefully guided me on how to reach the cable car, how to navigate the routes, and the best ways to explore the mountain. She even secured my entry tickets for Zhangjiajie National Park for the same day and the following day. Throughout my trip, she kept in touch with me on WeChat, giving me step-by-step guidance on where to go and how to get there — something I deeply appreciated as a solo traveler in an unfamiliar city.
The room itself was spotless and well-maintained. My room was very clean, thoughtfully prepared, and stocked with everything I needed, including bottled water and full toiletries. The location, though tucked slightly inside two small lanes, was excellent — very close to the Tianmen Mountain cable car station and surrounded by lively street food stalls that made evening walks delightful.
What really stood out was the warmth and dedication of the staff, whose help made my Zhangjiajie trip seamless and stress-free. This place is not only a comfortable place to stay but also a haven of genuine hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area, especially solo travelers looking for extra support and guidance.

First, the location: it's located in a wonderful village, the air is clear, there's a first nearby and a beautiful view on it and some mountain out of the window. The birds singing in the morning and throughout the day was just a wow.
The hotel is literally 7 minutes walking from the West Gates of Zhangjiajie National Park. We bought an entrance ticket for 4 days, and just walked into the park every day of our stay.
Second, the host: our LaoBan is a very helpful, caring and friendly person, and a great cook as well! Breakfasts and dinners are offered as an option for additional payment (traditional Chinese dishes that are delicious!).
Third, the authenticity of the place itself: the design of the hotel and rooms is demanding to be taken pictures of — very simple, beautiful 😁
We'd love to come back and stay there where no cars are heard, only birds, and the whisper of the wind ❤️

莎莎莉❤️This hotel offers a super strategic location—right on the main road, just 900m from Wulingyuan East Gate (easy walk to the park!) and 1.2km from Xibu Street (great for food & shopping). The area is lively, with plenty of shops and local eateries nearby.
The owner is incredibly kind and helpful—he even assisted me in booking Wulingyuan Scenic Area tickets! The hotel itself is small but cozy, with only around 10 rooms. Each room is spacious, clean, and uniquely designed, giving a personalized touch.

GGuest UserIt's so cool. The boss's homestay is really comfortable to sleep in.
First of all, the boss's service is very considerate and enthusiastic. When I checked in on the first day, I was still peeking at the door and the boss called my name right away😃 Then it was just dinner time, so I ordered bamboo shoots fried with meat at the boss' homestay. The bamboo shoots were picked by the boss himself on the mountain and were very fresh. The meat was also the boss's local ingredients, very delicious. And the boss saw that I was a girl traveling alone, so he said that I couldn't eat much and gave me a free meal.
And the night of the check-in, the boss also explained the route to me very enthusiastically. You don't need to make a strategy at all. Just forget your brain and follow the boss's route. You can solve it.
The next morning, I went to the forest park. I slept late and didn't get up. It was only at 10 o'clock that the boss called my name downstairs and woke me up. Haha. We originally wanted a family room but it was fully booked, so we took the owner's recommendation for a river-view king room, which turned out to be excellent. The room was very spacious, and the owner provided an extra 1.4-meter bed, making our stay extremely comfortable; the kids especially loved it. It featured a bathtub, a projector, and even a tea room. We stayed for four nights, and each evening the owner helped us plan the next day's itinerary, even suggesting evening activities tailored to our needs. This personalized service was truly a huge plus! Overall, the room facilities were great, the views stunning, and the owner's service outstanding. We will definitely recommend this place to many more friends!
