The Aarburg Hotel & Café
4.5/545 Reviews
The Aarburg Hotel & Café is a charming little spot in Interlaken, just a 15-minute walk from Interlaken West train station. While it’s tempting to take the shortcut, I’d recommend sticking to the main road, especially in snowy weather—it’s much easier for pulling luggage. Check-in was smooth and efficient, but do note there are no lifts in this cozy hotel. Carrying heavy bags up the narrow stairs was a bit of a workout, so pack light if you can. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the coffee—it lived up to all the glowing Google reviews. Breakfast was simple but wholesome, with fresh bread, croissants, yogurt, and healthy toppings like dried berries, almonds, and chia seeds. The café is pet-friendly, so don’t be surprised to see a few furry friends around. The room itself was modest but comfortable. However, as the building is wooden, sounds tend to carry. We wondered if we were bothering other occupants but thankfully, no complaints! The location is peaceful, away from the main road, though the church bells that sound at intervals through the night was a little disturbing on the first night. With a supermarket near the train station for quick snacks and essentials, this hotel is both convenient and quiet. Perfect for couples looking for a laid-back stay. I’d happily book here again if I return to Interlaken.

The room look tiny and cute. There was a restaurant in hotel and the food was good and yummy. We love the food here. The service was good and waiter was patient. The cheese fondue was the most delicious as well as we tried.
Hotel Maya Caprice

The location is very good, just next to the Wengen station, no need to carry the luggage uphill to find the hotel! The view is also the best, you can see the Jungfrau and several other peaks, the waterfall of Lauterbrunnen can also be seen. Breakfast is average, European hotels are probably like this, nothing to eat. The hotel's own restaurant should be a Michelin-recommended restaurant. The dishes are OK, and you want to eat in advance. Service under the spit, the service attitude of the restaurant is OK, but the service attitude of the hotel front desk check in is really average, extremely arrogant ~
Alpenblick Hotel & Restaurant Wilderswil by Interlaken

The location of the hotel is farther from the train station than other hotels. The place is clean and tidy, and the breakfast has many varieties and features. It's a pity that I have to give a bad review on the service. I should check in at 3:00 pm, and I won't have a room until 4:00 pm. It is also different from the room pointed out 1 hour ago. We sat outside the door of the room to eat, took a cloth stool to put food on, and covered it with protection. But an old woman (it seems to be the owner of the hotel, who lives next door to our room) passed by, took two pieces of cloth and asked us to protect this stool 😳 During the period, we kept admonishing us not to eat outside the door (should be Eating in the garden) will stain the stool, and remind you not to eat in the room. The garbage in the room should be taken out of the trash can 15 meters away, because it will produce peculiar smell and affect the air quality of the room. during moving food. The drink poured down, and her complexion became even uglier. He reprimanded him again, saying that he destroyed the stool. This kind of service is really disgusting. We've stayed in hotels a lot, but have never met a hotel staff (or owner) like this. 100% not recommended, and the cost of living is not cheap. It is a really bad hotel stay experience. Highly not recommend as it doesn't match its high price with its service.

Hotel Spinne Grindelwald

When we first entered the room, we saw corpses of mosquitoes everywhere on the wall, and there were mosquitoes flying everywhere in the room. A few of them were killed and sprayed blood. The bedside table lamp was also broken. Fortunately, after contacting the receptionist, we were allowed to change rooms. It was very convenient. It's hard to imagine how uncomfortable this night would have been if I hadn't changed rooms. After all, I spent nearly 10,000 Taiwan dollars. I shouldn't have come here to suffer. I give the lady at the counter a big thumbs up. The biggest selling point here is the heated swimming pool, which directly faces the Eiger and Grindelwald slopes. It is open from 12 to 21 o'clock. If it were not for the swimming pool, I might not choose this one due to hygiene reasons.
