The room was OK. The front desk service was good. They agreed to change the room quickly. The room was relatively small. I think it is the same in small towns. The same price in the city is larger. The transportation is very convenient. I stayed here in various small towns for four days. I recommend eating the oil-splashed noodles at Bao’s restaurant near the West Station. It is delicious.

The price/performance ratio is good in Interlaken, suitable for one person traveling alone, but it is better to stay in a hotel for two people. The kitchen is very well done, and you can save a lot of money by going to the coop to buy groceries and cook.

The kitchen is quite big, there are many Asians, but there are no chopsticks. It is conveniently located between two train stations and can be reached on foot.

I love Balmers Hostel so much I don’t want to leave! They have scheduled things to do in order to socialize with other travelers which is so fun. The rooms are great, the whole thing is like a cozy Swiss chalet, a lot of things to do inside, and nearby the main train station going to different cities. We met the owner casually, Mr. Balmers while talking at the table then gave us a bottle of Prosecco.

Crazy enough this is actually my second year stopping at Balmer's. I really enjoy the atmosphere they have here. You are able to meet people from all over the world and make new connections. It feels like everyone there, guests and staff, are like a little family.

This was my second year stopping at Balmer's Hostel. The Hostel is very well kept and the workers are very kind and thoughtful. The outdoor water is very cold and tastes amazing. It is such a beautiful old building that is so welcoming and would definitely recommend going.

We got the private room with shared toilet and shower - everything is clean and nice.. we even have a balcony!! The hostel has a jacuzzi, a relaxation room, a bar/club, great kitchen and big lounge / backyard area. We really enjoyed the activities they have - we joined the sunset swim and hiking to the waterfalls. Will surely book here again when in Interlaken ❤️
