Haymarket Hotels with Wifi

My family had a great time at Sydney Central Hotel. The receptionists checked us in early and gave us a late checkout and there was a kid’s corner for my kids to play at. The room was quite retro and cozy, and the beds were very soft and comfortable to sleep in. The TV also had many nice channels that my kids enjoyed watching. Also, the breakfast was delicious and there was a fruit juice machine there. The bathtub was good. Lotion was provided. Corridor has funny smell. The Landry room was very useful. However, the swimming pool was very small. No slippers, no water provided. Toothbrush on request.

I had a fantastic stay there from 14.05.2025 and checked out on 20.05.2025. Initially, supposed to be there for 2 days only, however the facility and service provided by the friendly staff changed my plans to stay there until I had to leave Australia on 20.05.2025. The overall situation is quite good. The only drawback is that I was assigned to be next to the cleaning room. Every morning, I was awakened by the cleaning staff who made very rude and loud noises when opening and closing the doors, and they repeated this noisy operation behavior many times, making it very difficult for me to have a good rest.The overall situation is quite good. Stayed for more than a week in Ultimo. Cleanliness should be improved (depends on the assigned housekeeping maybe). Currently has an ongoing renovation from 3rd floor & up but if you’re always out of the hotel, staying here is still a good choice. No elevator but the staff were very helpful with our luggages. Good deal for its price because of the location and the room size plus the amenities. Kudos to all the reception staffs for being so nice and accommodating. Thank you!

Room with very nice interior, friendly staff and very clean facility overall. There were a bit of noise coming from the AC but we got used to it after 2 nights and didn't really bother us anymore

We've stayed in many Sydney hotels, but this one is our favorite. The location is perfect, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the beds are incredibly comfortable—my husband slept soundly, a real relief given his back surgery. Other hotels are expensive and the beds are often uncomfortable, but this hotel is accommodating and the staff are friendly. The kids loved it too. We're so happy to have found a hotel that suits our needs, especially the beds!

The hotel was super clean and well located. However, I had a small problem that was resolved, but it took me a while to get angry and spend a some time. When I left the hotel, I forgot my  glasses, and called the hotel asking them to look for them and keep them because I would go back to get them. The receptionist said that housekeeping couldn't find anything. And she said Im sorry that's all you need thanks Men  and hung up the phone However, I had to go to the hotel and shout to be let in to see for myself. Otherwise, I would call the police to report my lost item because I had proof of my glasses and I never leave without them. The manager told me to keep my voice down and do whatever,I wanted until another employee at the reception gave me permission to enter the room and look for them. When I went in, I didn't even have to look very hard. My glasses were already on a headboard facing the bed. I felt very poorly served in a situation where I needed them. I hope this doesn't happen to future guests. Thank you very much for staying at Hotel Furama!

I had a very pleasant stay at YHA Sydney Central. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Angel (the Angel!) at the front desk with a BIG radiant smile. Her helpful orientation about the hostel and surrounding area especially the super convenient Central Station just across the road made settling in easy and stress-free. I also appreciated the clear signage in the hostel which made navigation simple and intuitive. I was thrilled to find the dual-monitor setups thoughtfully provided at every desk in the co-working space - something I have always desperately needed but never found in all of my travels across more than 20 countries. It was a huge bonus for me. I’d love to see it open beyond 11 pm. Given the area is well-secured with access card and CCTV, keeping it open 24/7 would be more user-friendly for those who struggle to focus during busy hours or for night owls working across different time zones. Another seemingly small but thoughtful touch that made a big difference was the steam iron and ironing board provided in the laundry room. They were exactly what I needed very much since my clothes often come out wrinkled after long hours packed in suitcases. I was also impressed by the detailed guidelines and the conveniently placed bins that encouraged timely, efficient and proper waste separation. In a world where environmental awareness is still lacking in many places, this served as a valuable education opportunity that travelers can learn from and take back to their own countries. It personally boosted my own environmental consciousness. I truly believe this is an excellent demonstration for travelers coming from different parts of the world. My room was comfortable with a high ceiling, a tall window and a spacious locker to an extent that even a 81 cm suitcase can fit in with no difficulty. The table and chairs inside fostered a friendly and communal atmosphere which is perfect for us to unwind and share interesting stores with fellow travelers. However, both my roommates and I found the room too cold at night and it seemed that there was no temperate control options such as heating or air-conditioning. Also, the traffic noise from outside was quite loud, even on the fifth floor, and it lasted all day until midnight. One area that really needs urgent attention is the Wi-Fi. During my brief two-day stay, the internet connection dropped frequently regardless where I was in the hostel, whether I was in my room, or on the kitchen floor, even at the front desk. A stable and reliable internet connection is essential for today’s travelers. To be honest, this was one of the most unstable, the slowest and weakest internet connections I have experienced in Australia. Thankfully, the internet connection was much better in the co-working space. Thank you again for the warm hospitality and for creating such a welcoming space for us. I hope this review is helpful. I genuinely appreciate the effort put into maintaining such a great environment.

We stayed in APX for one night. Excellent location near shops, Sydney tram and Murray's bus for interstate travels. Room was clean, pleasant and large, amenities are good. Air conditioning wasn't working properly at the time but they provided a portable one. Parking is scarce, we had to park one block away from the hotel. Still good for what we needed so I was happy.

My recent 7-day stay. While the location of the hotel is fantastic and made our trip convenient, there were some concerns regarding cleanliness that I feel need to be addressed. During our stay, my husband and I noticed that the cleanliness of the room, particularly the bedding, did not meet expectations. We were uncertain if the sheets were changed during our stay hence made a request at the front desk that our bedding needs to be changed. On several occasions, after returning to our room late in the evening, we found that the sheets were still dirty, which was quite disappointing. As guests on holiday, we expected a certain level of cleanliness, particularly with something as fundamental as bed linens. Unfortunately, we were too tired to address it with the front desk at the end of long days. We ended up sleeping on just one side of the bed. I believe that with a little more attention to detail in housekeeping, this could be an area for significant improvement. Cleanliness is one of the most basic expectations when staying at a hotel, and I hope this feedback helps ensure future guests do not encounter similar issues.
