Conveniently located just moments away from Taylorsville Lake Marina this peaceful cottage gives you access to lazy days at the lake, visiting the world famous Kentucky Bourbon Trail, antiquing in small quaint towns and is only a forty-five minute drive to picturesque Churchill Downs, the home of the Kentucky Derby.This 2 bedroom, 2 bath cottage sleeps up to 6 people. The primary suite includes a king size bed, private bathroom and television with balcony access. The second bedroom can accommodate four guests and is adult and kid friendly. Bedroom two has a twin bed with a trundle as well as a set of bunk beds and a television. This open concept cottage has a fully equipped kitchen connected to the cozy living and entertaining space. Enjoy playing games, surfing the internet, watching TV after a day of all the splendors Kentucky has to offer. In colder months, enjoy snuggling by the fireplace. Want to spend a little more time outside, how about a canoe adventure or a hike along one of the trails around the lake. In the summer, take advantage of the shared outdoor pool and sand volleyball. Welcome to Four Seasons Cottage on the Bourbon Trail! This charming property is located in a peaceful vacation community, just a short walk from the seasonal pool. Featuring 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and cozy living room with a fireplace, this cottage is perfect for a family getaway or a couples retreat. Enjoy the large deck with a hot tub and BBQ, as well as access to nearby hiking trails and attractions. Cottage 37 sits on a ridge that overlooks the 3,050-acre Taylorsville Lake.Upon arrival guests are welcomed by a lighted walkway up to the front door. The living room with new couches and lending library is the perfect place to read a book amongst the Flicker of the propane fireplace. A vaulted ceiling ties the living room and kitchen together. In the morning the sun rises over the lake giving the kitchen table the best place to watch the sunrise over Taylorsville Lake. A hallway leads to the main bathroom and guest bedroom. The guest bedroom has a 32-inch TV, a Queen bed, and one trundle bed. The master bedroom and its atmosphere of romance has a King bed and an ensuite bathroom with a soak tub. Off the master bedroom is a large 20 by 14ft deck with a Hot Tub. From the first deck a step-down to a second 10 by 14ft deck with a conversation area and propane fire pit. The view from the deck overlooks Taylorsville Lake and the rolling hills. Located on beautiful Brashears Creek in the heart of Bourbon Country, this loft style cedar cabin makes a great central location to visit some local distilleries and wineries. It is also a great place to stay for anyone who might be in the area for a horse show or interested in antique shopping along Shelbyville's historical Main Street. My personal favorite thing to do at the cabin is enjoy the creek. We love to canoe, kayak or even just float on a raft depending on the conditions.FAQ: The Ripple InnHi there! Please feel free to reach out for additional questions. CAN I CHECK IN EARLY?We do our very best to make sure the cabin is ready for our next guests. If you need a check-in earlier than 4pm, there will be a $50 fee. DETAILSThere is a Hot Tub......To ensure the safety of you and other guests, please follow the hot tub rules posted. DO NOT leave children unattended in or near the hot tub. Hot tub is cleaned, treated, and checked for proper functionality before every arrival. If any abuse requiring draining of the hot tub is discovered when a guest departs, we will collect your security deposit to cover the expense of additional labor, supplies, and water for a process that takes up to five hours to drain, clean, refill, and reheat for the next guest. We make every effort to keep the hot tub functional, hot and ready for each guest to enjoy. There is no guarantee that a mechanical failure can be repaired, as parts may need to be ordered. There will be no refunds or discounts due to a hot tub malfunction, and damage to the hot tubs, covers, and filters will be assessed to you.WHAT GROCERY STORES ARE THERE?There is a Walmart and Kroger in Shelbyville. You can purchase your favorite alcoholic beverage at Cox’s Spirit Shoppe, located close to the I64 exit onto SR 55.
