Hilton Hotels & Resorts properties in Irvine

While the price range is reasonable compared to other hotels in Irvine, the hotel is located right in front of John Wayne Airport, so noise from planes taking off and landing is constant, except during late-night hours. Overall, the hotel interior is clean, and most of the staff are cheerful and friendly. However, I inquired about the risk of explosions at the Garden Grove chemical plant before check-in, but received no response. Consequently, I checked in without being able to decide whether to cancel my stay or change my schedule. During my long 10-night stay, I requested an early check-in, but the hotel only cited its reservation policy prohibiting schedule changes. Unable to provide any assistance, I ended up moving to a different hotel after only 7 nights. I understand that regulations are regulations, but I feel a sense of regret that, despite being a franchise hotel, they did not show some discretion, such as allowing a transfer to another hotel within the same brand or offering credit. Had they done so, I would have felt greater trust and value in the Hilton brand image.
